Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to obtain photographic proof of the employment of forum member, World as Myth.

Essential to the mission is the recruitment of civilian, JoeUser. He is a highly capable professional career finder currently active in the US.

Should you or any member of SE++ fail to accomplish this mission, the forum Moderators will disavow all knowledge of your actions.

This thread will self-destruct at the count of 100 pages.

Good luck SE++!

    Speaking of work, this guy wrote an article about his experience working in Japan. There's some interesting stuff, but that's not why I'm going to link to it.

    I present to you all one of the most editing-starved pieces of writing I've read in years. This is not an exaggeration. Years. And I read a lot.

    they decided they didn't want to make a full time hire and offered me contract work, which is precisely what I do not need more of, at about half my hourly rate

    Took a while to get it installed in XAMPP because apparently I am a fucking idiot. Also some small yet vital instruction was apparently not written correctly.

    I'm in Corpus Christi, TX. Ever since I got out of the Army in 2003 I've mainly done IT support work in corporate/laboratory environments but I'm thoroughly burnt out on that. I've got a couple apps out for that kind of work, some out for manufacturing/warehouse work and I'm trying to get in working at the Navy air terminal near here as ground crew.

    Yeah, I've been sending out for stuff like that and even actual assembly line stuff. All there really is here. I just need something making roughly $15 an hour (which is good for here) until I have enough saved up to move back to Seattle.

    I pretty much just skimmed through it because the article is massive and boring, but are we supposed to be surprised that a guy who is apparently vegetarian, doesn't like excessive human interaction and doesn't drink alcohol is turned off by meat, beer and parties?

    man... ive been unemployed a whole month now. that month went by fast. I needs me a job, stat. Thank God for unemployment.

    What is really weird in a job search is looking outside of your "field of expertise." Even a little and you are left scratching your head if you are qualified enough, or overqualified.
