You guys all played magic at some point, right? Don't lie. You know you love making decks and killing enemies with elves or slivers like most geese.
Or you could be cool, and make a unique deck. But that jazz is hella expensive. All those friggin' cards, and you have to be
near someone to play. Like, physically.
Unless you play MTGO, which is gay and stupid.
I have found the solution:
http://www.magicworkstation.com/
It's a fantastic program that has
literally every magic card printed, from alpha to the newest stuff. It has a library creator, a deck creator, comes with a huge collection of premade decks, and has a simple-to-use but super specific filtering system, card counters, and a function that analyzes every aspect of the deck you make. Breaks it down into pie charts, you can check probability, rating, etc. Fuck yes.
It has everything. Llanowar Elves and Soul Wardens? Lifegain nutsack? Stone rains and hella orcs? A wizard/angel deck?
Why the fuck not?
And the best part is, it has a fantastic, easy to use interface for playing others online. You just directly connect to any server anyone makes, and it boots up the playing interface, which is graphical and different from the builder. By the way - both the builder and the player have hi-res pictures of every. single, card.
It's incredibly awesome. I've already built a few decks, but it's pretty overwhelming. Right now all I've got I think is playable (in T2 Tourney legal format) is a pure white deck, but I'm going to make a black/red or a green/blue deck using every edition available.
So you guys should play with me! I am named Fandyien, but that doesn't really matter! You can acquire it via the internets or by the main site. It's about 3gigs, composed entirely of pretty pictures.
Playing!
Strategizing!
It's like $26.50 on the site. There are some user created expansions I can link you to via PM, and I think they have both a trial version and a thing where you get the program if you participate in one of the other programs or some such ballyhoo.

This is my current white deck. And a SS of the filter system that applies to the library you choose from.
If you can come in second or third in drafts you can basically play for free!
Then last weekend I got disconnected right after I joined and the shitty interface didn't bother to tell me and I missed the first 4 pulls and got megaraped and wasted my $12 and rage-quit
I'm not even sure what the second spoiler means, towers and magicks? Never saw those
how is that legal?
Building decks and playing people online is all free.
Also, I am on there pretty frequently testing out rogue decks. Name is ObiFett. One day I will make a unique deck that is competitive on a tournament level.
I ran black/red back in the day. My library was FILLED with Shock. It was something like three mana for two direct damage. Six of those bastards had my opponent on the run.

e: owned
Also, your backslash is outside of the bracket. NERD IMPOSTER
SteamID: Baroque And Roll
not to mention 3 mana for 2 direct damage would be awful, especially for red
At least attempt to faux hipster that shit and drink PBR.

Critical Failures - Havenhold Campaign • August St. Cloud (Human Ranger)
What about 2 mana for 3 direct damage with no regen
Also I remember playing Apprentice in grade school, didn't think it was still around
Incinerate is only good because I'm not allowed to have 12 Lightning Bolts and 12 Prodigal Sorcerers.
Fireball

it was trivialized somewhat when some local store that sold them was going out of business and me and my friends bought dozens of packs there on the cheap and each built essentially perfect decks
Red/Black deck baby.
Dark Ritual(s)
Fireball.
It only seems to do that with dumb strangers
if both people actually just join and let it boot up it usually works
i admit occassional crashes are irritating, but if you're gonna whine about that, you can at least use it as an indexer/planner since you can download an extension that prices the cards for you
Kormus Bell
Inferno
I only got to play it once, but goddamn was it fun.
If you want to dick around with Magic Cards it's okay but if you want to play in any form of competition it's really not worth it.
I just want to build some random deck and play with some dudes on here
I have a shitty computer/internet connection
I am awful at computers and general interface things
Dingus Staff
Aether Flash
Varchild's War Riders
so much better
All yes.
I just barely lost to some guy named Fernando. I would have one, but then I pointed out to him if he would just use all his creatures, he could kill me.
Motherfucker was at 1 health, though. And I was using an awful green/white creatures deck.
