Btw, Thom, I have Forza 3. It's fantastic.

If you like racing games that let you do anything you fucking want, then pick it up.

I do like insane modding. I took great delight in modding a Beetle so that it could blow the doors off of my brother's Mustang in Gran Turismo (2?, 3? for the PS2).
Heh. I took the Mustang SVT Cobra in Gran Turismo 3 and modded it to the point that I could lap my friend racing in a Lotus Esprit.

I'm guessing your biggest problem there was getting the Mustang to corner in under a week?
That's what's so great about Gran Turismo, the sharp corners you can just grind the wall since there's no damage, and with the amount of acceleration it had I was out of the corner in no time.

BTW, this is a kick-ass awesomesauce article about rape. I'd make a thread about it but then it would become a rape thread and making a rape thread is a little like raping the forum.

    http://yesmeansyesblog.wordpress.com/2009/11/12/meet-the-predators/
We need to revoke the rapists’ social license to operate. We need to stop asking, “why do we think he didn’t know she wasn’t consenting,” which is the first question now, really. First as a cultural matter — leaving the legal matter aside — we need to adopt the stance that sexual interaction ought to always be had in a state of affirmative consent by all participants; that anything else is aberrant.

Usually I never see kick-ass awesomesauce before or after the word rape.

But you do see it before the word 'article,' right?

    recursive grammar ahoy!

In all seriousness it's pretty much always possible to extract more peak power from an engine by throwing more and more forced induction at it. The difficulty is getting it to run reliably and getting a usable power curve.

Oh I know. I'm just not sure how much harder those engines could be pushed without running into issues. Also, I'm not as willing to pit my skills against those of a bunch of insane German engineers. I'm guessing they got a lot closer to the peak then I could.

My boyfriend does all the cooking and he is amazing at it. He can take like... nothing, and turn it into like lots and lots of fancy good tasting something.

I don't know how to cook at all. I'd learn by watching him but I'm also not allowed in the kitchen when he's cooking. Something about me constantly asking him intentionally stupid questions, trying to taste things before they're done, playing fetch with my black lab in kitchen, and just generally being a nuisance. I think it's all in his head.

I went out with a girl recently who likes to do track days with a souped-up Miata.

You can. They make nice little racers because they weigh next to nothing so you don't need a lot of engine to get a decent power to weight ratio out of them. But I'm not sure I could survive the shame of driving one.
That's what's so great about Gran Turismo, the sharp corners you can just grind the wall since there's no damage, and with the amount of acceleration it had I was out of the corner in no time.
