I've been waiting for this. Final Fight is one of those arcade games I will never get tired of playing. And now with the release of Final Fight: Double Impact on XBLA and PSN, fun times are ahead for fans of co-op play.

Also includes some game about wizards or magic or something.

The mayor's daughter has been kidnapped. Are you a bad enough dude to save her?

You don't seriously need an introduction, do you? Final Fight was the game that officially popularized the beat-em-up genre. You pick one out of three rad dudes, and go punch some mans (and womans....or are they?). You save the hot girl and do a manly walk toward the sunset.
And later realize that the heroes pretty much meet bad ends after this; one goes to jail, the other becomes a solitary ninja, and the third has yet to be a playable Street Fighter character. No, I don't care if he would just be a Zangief clone, he needs to be included in the game!

Anyway, I'm all set to play this game, but I can't beat the Mad Gear alone! Let's get some friends up in here.

    I got final fight 2 & 3 on Wii, was hoping they'd release Final Fight arcade as there was no way in hell I was dropping cash on the one player SNES game.

    This makes me happy.

    Why is noone else talking about Final Fight?

    Wasn't there a Final Fight where you could play as a girl? She did split kicks and might have been related to Haggar? I think he gets kidnapped.

    I purchased it for 360 on account of my owning the Tekken 6 arcade stick. I figured the extra authenticity was worth it.

    I was also told the PA community was much bigger on XBL.

    Have I been lied to!? :(

    Just played the demo

    Ohhhh, one of these games

    Yeah, no dice. They're entertaining enough, but that entire genre is identical. If you've played one, you've played them all.

    And if I'm going to play one, it's going to involve Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

    Lucia, you mean; she's a cop, and a friend of Cody's, and looks damn good in a halter top and Daisy Dukes. FF3 was a great game; I'm surprised it hasn't been released on VC yet.

    Picked this up.
    Magic Sword is cool, but I feel like I'm missing something every time I play it. It's just so chaotic.

    Final Fight was probably the first arcade game that coaxed my entire allowance from my pockets. I was 10 or 11 at the time, but hot damn was it great, and still is. It's really cheap in some places, like quarter munchers are, but I still love it.

    I love the setting with the arcade cabinet and old CRT monitor effect. Awesome nostalgia.

    There is also a ton of stuff to unlock. Like, A LOT. Different challenges like beating a certain level in a certain time, or getting a certain amount of points with a certain character. Good stuff.

    Does he look a lot like Tom Selleck in that picture? I'd vote for Mike anyday if he ran for office looking like that all the time...

    Umm, right. I will likely pick this up on the PSN myself. And for the record, I really liked Magic Sword, though it was kind of short.

    Played a session with Clorfhanger last night, very fun. His lack of a headset was disturbing though.

    But between that and another random game, I can confirm that lag is pretty much nonexistant. There's only some slight slowdown when the screen is filled with enemies, but there's no input lag whatsoever. I kind of wish there was an option to turn off friendly fire (being able to hit your partner). I sometimes missed the mark with those knife throws. o_O

    They actually included the episode in the game? Ugh, I hope not. I watched half of it, and that was enough.

    I'm convinced the animators have never seen an actual fight, fictional or otherwise, a day in their lives. It's like somebody busted the physics engine, and we have all sorts of improbable flips and throws. Also Cody sounds like a mentally handicapped Texan.

    I tried a few levels, and it's not bad, and the arranged music is quite nice. I'm curious what playing in co-op is like.

    I still wish they added Final Fight 2 or something partially related. Even that crappy Final Fight fighting game.

    Ah, 16 bit boob heaving. Never gets old (check out the Power Ranger games).

    Had a real fun run with Blaze, followed by a riffing on the included SF episode.

    We need to get a whole XBL party going as we watch that cartoon. There's so many things to make fun of.
    Belger: "She's a hostage of course. What ELSE is she good for?"

    (minutes later)

    Belger: "I'm very pleased with you two....ESPECIALLY you." (leers at Ken)

    I now deem it a requirement to include more episodes in each Capcom game.
