Yeah, I have no idea what's up, but I'm more than willing to profit off of their mistake
I played it in store, and it's just wonderful. you can tell that it's preowned, but whoever had it had taken amazing care of it, it was in brand new shape but broken in and just a dream to play.

We're playing at Hell's Kitchen in Tacoma on Thursday.
So, I tend to leave my music stuff at friends' houses a lot, but I really wanted to play guitar, so I plugged in my electric into garageband and made this with the "summer sounds" setting. I don't really know what to think of it. It's just a one track instrumental.
Bass players seem to be something of a plague around Glasgow actually. Can't get a goddamn band together because whenever I ask around the university, all I get are five or six rather sheepish looking bassists turning up...
Ah well, it's not all doom and gloom. I recently got an absolute beast of a deal on one of these babies here at £95 -
Danelectro 56 Pro in light blue. Now officially the sexiest object in my possession! The fact it came with a brown leather hard case with purple lining just amplifies the gorgeousness of the whole package. Excellent for my occasional noodlings along to Taj Mahal and B.B.King.
That was better than I was expecting. Reminds me of Matt Uelmen's stuff, which is a huge compliment.
Just for reference sake, what were you expecting?
yeah I mean, between the title and your less than stellar endorsement I was expecting something less polished and more like a dude just plugging in and playing whatever. Great stuff though, I like it.

I think I really doubt my skillage, but yeah, thanks! I actually have some of Matt Uelmen's stuff on my iPod, so that's neat.
The screaming metal isn't my thing, but I always thought your old band sounded pretty good for what it was.
Also, pop punk really isn't something I'm too into either (anymore anyway) but I'd be interested in hearing what you get going with the new band. Post some shit when the ball starts rolling.
i have recently started studying the drums somewhat seriously, but i've only been able to put in about 15 hours on an actual set (not counting my MAAAD rock band skillz). i did a little percussion drumming in high school but gave up pretty early on, and really regret it
i have a feeling that picking up an instrument at age 27 does not bode well for my chances of joining a punk rock group and having sex with all the ladies though. id love to learn a few good jazz riffs and be able to go to open mics or something!
I met up with a guitarist a few hours ago who's trying to put a band together, he played some basic stuff and I just sang along off the top of my head, it went OK but I found I came up with more interested melodies if I just made sounds instead of actually trying to think of sentences that fit together.
I wasn't hipster enough to join their band though, apparently. (OK, those weren't his words and he was very nice but it came down to me not being passionate about the type of music they want to write)
He did give me the idea of going to some open mics in town to try to meet musicians who might need a singer though, which for some reason I hadn't thought of before.

I unabashedly love the shoegaze sound
I will listen to Sigur Ros and Amiina and God is an Astronaut and Explosions in the Sky and Mono all fucking day long.
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.

These are some of the coolest pedals I have ever used. I love the Love Punch, LP and OK so much.
