During the interim in which PMs are sent out, here's (mostly) all you need to know.
The world of Mage is one of modern sorcery.
Magic exists, but those who practice it maintain secrecy of their art through an elaborate society that exists away from the public eye: The Pentacle.
Like any society, all its members have their own beliefs on how magic should be practiced, and how it should be shared with the unfamiliar.
Following is some information on each of the Orders, the five factions that make up the Pentacle.
Each of the players will belong to one of them, regardless of win condition.
The Adamantine Arrow
Magical warriors, and the enforcers of Mage society.
When an enemy needs to be struck down, the Arrow act as the Ungula Draconis; the talon of the dragon.
The Free Council
Free thinkers. While the Libertines respect tradition, they believe it should not be permitted to shackle the progress of magical society and its practitioners.
The Guardians of the Veil
While the Adamantine Arrow defend Awakened society in the open, the Guardians operate from the shadows. They know that not all adversaries appear in the open. The Guardians are the Visus Draconis, or Eye of the Dragon, and seek out threats that would otherwise remain unknown, through methods others might consider dishonest or even detestable.
The Mysterium
Curators and scholars of Mage society. They treasure and safeguard the traditions of the Awakened, and seek to keep it from falling into unworthy hands. The Alae Draconis, or Wings of the Dragon, not only protect magical lore, but ensure that only those deserving of its knowledge are privy to its benefits.
The Silver Ladder
Those who rule. The Voice of the Dragon, or Vox Draconis, have taken it upon themselves to lead Mage society into the present era, and ensure it stays upon the right path. However, whether a benefit or detriment to the other Orders, this will be the path they dictate.
The Seers of the Throne
(The Mafia)
Whereas the majority of Awakened seek to help humanity awaken to their dormant potential, the Seers want none of this. They serve a higher power known only as the Exarchs, powerful beings who attained abilities so potent that have ascended to a higher plane.
The Seers are their servants, Mages who seek to undermine the endeavors of the Pentacle at any opportunity.
The Votaries of the Throne are a group of Seers brought together by forces unknown, but know this:
their goal is the same as any Seer. The breaking of the Pentacle, and the ruination of the Orders.
Each of the mafia will be one of the Votaries, and have infiltrated one of the Orders of the Pentacle as their cover.
It seems that I am too late to murder my girlfriend because the Secret Masters told me to.
!Reserve.

Boston, Massachusetts
Present Day
New England has long been a popular port of call for Mages.
As a gateway to the Atlantic, it is an easily accessible venue for any looking to smuggle valuables, artifacts, or even persons of significant value into the New World.
The infamous Salem Witch Trials have brought the region no small amount of infamy in mystical circles. Many have ventured to Boston as a result of its long history with the occult. Some seeking to further their knowledge, others seeking to spread their own teachings, and others still simply for their own gain; whether of the tangible or metaphysical sort.
Although a historical Cabal known as the Ebon Noose has long held sway in Boston, it is well known that any Mage is welcome, regardless of background, so long as their intentions will not bring harm or undue attention upon the local community.
While this has resulted in a broad spectrum of magic users from across the globe staking their interests in the local community, the vast community holds just as many unwanted elements as it does harmless ones.
The Scelesti, infamous soul-stealing infernalists; the Banishers, mercenary Mages that seek to obliterate all magic users without exception; and above all, the Seers of the Throne.
The Exarchs have desired the potent ley lines that run beneath the foundation.
For decades if not centuries, they have bided their time, waiting for the opportune moment to strike.
That time has finally come.
It is late at night. Despite their pitch-black surroundings, the quintet of magic users watching the distant lights of the city from a dark hillside can see all.
The faint glow of a flickering lantern illuminates their immediate area. A man in an impeccably formal suit gives a nod, and the group begins their descent into the city.
They only have a short time, and much to do.
The higher powers have spoken. The Pentacle must be obliterated.
The Votaries do not deal in relatives. The will of the Exarchs will be done.
They disperse without speaking into different sections of the city, their goals already known to each other, and to those watching from on high.

My mafia teammates told me to vote for The_Reflection, but I like to vote for teammates to throw suspicion off of myself on Day One. Of course, now that I said this, I won't do it again. Probably.

11PM, Easternish.
Reserves are welcome. (Arivia signed up in advance, though I do hope she will confirm it.)
For lack of a reason not to, I think I can send out PMs within the next hour or so. When and if Day 1 begins, it will end tomorrow night at 11PM EDT.
Finals are finally over, and I should have a lot more time to play.

No, it won't. Death will not reveal factional alignment, only village or mafia.
