    Okay yeah apparently they made it 3-0 while I came to type about the shortie and hung around a couple minutes.

    and as I noticed that and started typing this post I heard the announcers say they had a 2v1 and turned around to see Crosby score. Again.

    Yes, they slaughtered the Flyers in the third to go from 4-1 to tie at 4-4. Briere should have had that final goal in OT, but I guess they maintain two clocks.

    I used to referee in a youth hockey league that didn't have overtime but we went straight to shootouts instead of ties. If a kid was in the penalty box at the end of regulation he couldn't participate in the shootout.

    Happened more than you would think.

    edit: also a lot of people dislike Perry because he really is one of those piece of shit players that gets away with a lot of dirty plays because he is gifted offensively.

    Thats my reasoning anyway.

    He's also generally a pansy who will totally fight... if the other guy is a gifted scorer who's never been in a fight before in his life. Put an enforcer out there against him or even a mildly though guy and he'll be running to Getzlaf to save him.

    I mean, even Pavel friggin' Datsyuk lord of the Lady Byng beat him in a fight.

    The league needs more skill guys fighting. I get sick of seeing two giant dudes grapple until they get tired and fall down. I want to see Datsyuk and Crosby trade jabs until someone gets a tactical advantage they can exploit into a landed hook, at lightning speed.

    But then the goons could still take penalties in the last seconds of the game and pretty much get away with no disadvantage for their team. I say let the opposing team choose their first shooter.

    I don't think anyone puts their goons out in 4v4 overtime, unless they are terrible coaches trying to lose the game.

    I'm really tempted to grab some tickets to the Great Lakes Invitational for my dad and I this year, but the travel and hotel situations give me pause.

    I'll be talking about The Big Chill here most of Saturday, so I'll allow it. Also, Crosby wouldn't fight Pavel, he'd fight Zetterberg. Who would probably mind fuck him into standing still and then take him down with one punch, considering their history. :P

    Anyway, OSU's the fourth team this year I take it? I haven't checked.

    Nope, it's Colorado College. But my dad graduated from Tech, so that was actually my first favorite hockey team. I went to a few games up there when he's had reunions and such and he and I went to the GLI about 7 years ago to cheer on the Huskies.
