Y'know, I kind of wish the host wasn't on invisible status so that we could see what he was doing and whether or not all the PMs have been sent out or not.
Also i've found i'm one of few scorpion clan supporters on this here board.
I too am a fan of the Scorpion. So fear not, you are not alone.
Not that I dislike the other clans, there's something cool about all of them. Actually, my second favorite clan is the Monkey clan and they're pretty much the exact opposite of the Scorpion.
Since others have taken the time to write about the setting, I'll tell the tale of how they became a minor clan.
At the end of the Clan War Toturi became the Emperor. One of the men who had served him well during the war was a ronin known as Toku. He had displayed courage and bravery and several times when things looked dark he led the charge and helped change the tide of battle. In honor of his courage and fighting spirit Toturi offered Toku a position as Captain of the Imperial Guard.
Toku refused.
He followed this with a confession. Toku wasn't a samurai at all; he was a peasant born in a remote farming village. One day his village was threatened with extermination by bandits. A small band of samurai appeared and opposed the bandits. Toku's village was so remote they didn't know who the samurai were or who they served; just men and women in the wrong place at the right time. Though outnumbered heavily, the samurai stood with the villagers and fought against the bandits to the last. Moved by the sacrifice of the samurai to save his family, he promised to follow their example. Toku took the bandit king's swords and left to find his destiny.
It wasn't until later that he learned what a sin it was to pretend to be a samurai. But the Clan War was by then in full swing, and he felt that he could not confess when the empire needed everyone it could to save it from destruction. He vowed after it was over he would make things right. So, following Toturi's coronation he declined the invitation to lead the Guard, surrendered his swords, and requested the Emperor to allow him to commit seppuku - his last act as a Samurai.
Toturi refused.
Though he hadn't been born a samurai, the Emperor said that he had proven himself more worthy of the title then any other who had been born into it. The Emperor proclaimed that his samurai status was official, retroactive throughout the Clan War thus wiping Toku's crimes away. He again offered him the position of Captain of the Guard and daimyo of a new minor - the Monkey Clan. Toku proudly accepted.
So yeah, pretty cool story. The Scorpion are actually the Monkey Clans self-appointed secret protectors. The Monkey are as far from a Scorpion as you can get; honorable, noble, and pure where all others generally fain it. They seek to preserve their honor so the Monkey can serve as an example to all others.

i feel that in the long slow signup process, some key clarifications that are usually asked were missed.
for example:
Are there thralls/millers?
Are there conversions?
What happens in the event of a tied vote?
What is the order of actions?
Who shot John F. Kennedy?
How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?
and so on.

Order of actions is the following: Offensive Abilities, Defensive Abilities, Seering, Honor Abilities, Vote Kill. However, the vote will not trickle. Killing the vote leader will simply cause the vote to fizzle.
It has been asked. Bloodspeakers have infested the Empire. No one knows who they are, they could be members of any clan, and wear the face of anyone.

Also, I'm a retard and honor was lost in the shuffle. I'm going to send out honor totals now. I promise less retard in the future.

Do killings really go before guardings? That seems.....unusual.
