    They gave that hacker 30 years. This seems much less serious. With the US government already working on it, they probably moved him to a better prison or better part of the same one.

    Having him get raped or mauled would create one hell of an international circus.

    About underground prisons, routine beatings from guards and not being allowed to see any visitors what so ever?

    I don't doubt that American prisons are bad places with fucked up cultures for both inmates and personnel. I seriously doubt American prisons are worse than the prisons Turkey has for Kurds, such I have heard of them anecdotally.
