The only asshole professors I ever had were CS professors. And one Chem teacher. The other Chem teacher I had was awesome. Funny little lady.
Most teachers I found were really into their subject and if you talked to them about it they were awesome. In general they were all pretty funny and such.
I am working a somewhat dead-end job that I don't hate going to. It's easy. I don't actually do much. I make $10/hr, but work weekends and holidays.
I could apply for a warehouse position that will require more labor and effort and may or may not be boring/tedious. I would get paid holidays and at least $13/hr - no weekends. Also, raises are probable. However, there will be a rotating shift-schedule where I flop from 1st to 2nd shift everyother week or month.
Should I gamble leaving my somewhat "cush" job in order to make more money and possibly even more after time?

What's your dead-end job? What are your career goals? Are you trying to go to school?
Basically, you want to maximize your options and potential income down the road unless you need the money now.

yiss
I make $15/hr at my new job, and it is a lot more involved and takes up much more time than my old receptionist positions, including him keeping me extra unscheduled hours or coming on the weekends
but god dammit I am raking it in (you know, as far as college kids can rake it in with part time jobs)
plus i think personal assistant > secretary, even if my title is technically secretary I really don't do much of that

Gordon Ramsey's scrambled egg technique worked well. Good on him. Well done whoever linked the video a while back.

I'm a security guard.
The best I could hope for in terms of promotion would be Security Manager at $12/hr. No raises.
I don't really have any goals and school and I never got along. (I dropped out and got my GED a year before my class graduated. I got a fullride to a community college because I kicked the GED's ass. I ended up dropping out of that as well.)

Yes, people buy custom tailored dog costumes. It is a real thing.

I'm working up to the exercising again. Need to get my gym membership.
and when you decide to move on they will probably give you more money because you got more money before and you know how to do more stuff
dat ladder, etc

so 400/week vs 520/week (assuming 40 a week in this new job), and you get weekends free in the warehouse job, and paid vacations? seems pretty clear

Most people come in for the check here, but I like interacting with the people, etc.
I can't decide if it would be worth it. Hence, the question.
red lettuce
chopped red onion
cherry tomatoes
shredded carrot
italian dressing
and probably some saltines on the side
any ideas for additions?
You need to figure out what you want before you can get what you want.
if you don't get called in for an interview, and then get an offer, nothing is different
if you do, then you actually have an option before you, instead of just musing about it

A steak. And some bacon. Maybe some nice sausages.
