So, why Dinosaur Tramp Stamps? They're Chaos. Dinosaur Tramp Stamps would be good for Lizardmen, for Chaos I'd say something more like Daemon Tramp Stamps or Slaaneshi Tramp Stamps, which would make more sense, especially with the purple theme.

Was that something voted on?

Edit: And I'm still pissed about no Chaos Dwarfs. They'd better fucking add them at some point, even as DLC. I WANT MY DEVIL DORFS DAMMIT!

Well GW can go fuck themselves. They've been dicks about a lot of things, and I want to play Chaos Dwarfs in this game. I mean, it's not like they're putting a stop to any other potentially ridiculous teams, like the Amazons or the Norse or anything. I could maybe get why they'd do that for the regular fantasy world (even though I sort of can't, there was never anything wrong with Chaos Dwarfs) but even so, this is BLOOD BOWL. It's a version where all the warring nations set their differences aside to beat the shit out of eachother on a pitch in the name of Nuffle. Including these guys is sort of part of the whole experience. Besides, they mentioned the Chaos Dwarfs not being in it specifically because they didn't want to make totally new models for the Centuars because of the way they're made, even if that's kind of bunk (not saying it necessarily is, but even if it were), GW isn't doing a good job of not mentioning them if they're specifically saying they won't be in the game.

Why are Chaos Dwarfs not included in the Blood Bowl Legendary Edition?
In order to release Blood Bowl Legendary Edition by the end of 2010, we had to make a tough choice with the time and resources available. After much discussion, we all agreed (Cyanide, Focus, Games Workshop) not to include them in this Blood Bowl version, but who knows for the future. Chaos Dwarfs are more tricky than the other teams to implement, essentially, due to the presence of the Bull Centaurs and Hobgoblins. As the Centaurs are four-footed, it makes their design and integration more complicated, and the Hobgoblins would be another brand new body type too. Our estimations showed that Chaos Dwarfs would take much more time compared to other races and would compromise the development schedule beyond our needs. Nevertheless, Chaos Dwarfs are not banned from Blood Bowl the video game. They just won’t be in the Legendary Edition. – Incidentally, we hadn’t decided if they would have tall hats or not

Edit: It always sort of annoyed me that there's a nurgle team and no team for the other three gods, even if the standard is sort of more Khornate.

Edit2: Unless that's not true, and I've just never seen the Tzeentch/Slaanesh/Khorne teams.

Huh, interesting, it'd be really nice if they put in the Chaos Dwarves later on. They were always one of my favorite teams. (Really, anything with access to Mutations is though)

As for Nurgle's Rotters, my first guess would be because they're completely rad.

My second guess would be that the basic Chaos team can really easily be made to accomodate Slaanesh or Khorne, though it'd be cool to see a Tzeentch team with sorcerers or something crazy like that.

Just found this thread; so fun! I can't think of any other board/video game that's as much or more fun as a spectator sport. I love playing BB, but sometimes watching a match is better; so much less pressure!

If you don't have an apoth yet you need it. They're God sends early and stay good just as late. Nothing like losing the guy who got MVP your first game in game 2 due to a chaos warrior smashing him in the face with a very spiky glove.

Yeah, when they changed it so apothecaries are more likely to kill or injure your player than actually heal them, it kinda pissed me off. It's like, I only get one chance to save one of my players, you might as well make it so the outcome is at least VERY LIKELY to be better, or give me more than one, but when one of my star players gets a smashed knee and the apothecary kills them, it's just so annoying (especially when I rolled double skulls, and then re-rolled double skulls ARGH I FUCKING HATE THAT) I don't know if the likelihood of rolling double skulls and then REROLLING DOUBLE SKULLS (even after you wait the like 10-15 seconds you're supposed to before re-rolling because of ANOTHER bug) is a bug, or just terrible luck, but it pisses me off so much.

On a different note, I realized I hadn't touched Blood Bowl online in months, so I made another new Wood Elf team and got a few games in yesterday for practice. The first game netted 80,000gp and a line elf who rolled a +1 STR upgrade after my opponent's quitting dished out a pile of SPP. The second game was against a Chaos team, and just...wow. The elf with 4 STR was Badly Hurt on about Turn 2, and the rest of the team rallied to avenge him.

4 beastmen died that day

The apothecary saved the first one. And the crowd was responsible for one of the other deaths. But still... I wanted to rename my team for the Spanish Inquisition, because no one expects that from Wood Elves. Ended up with 4 more players hitting level 2, and 2 of them got +1 agility. The wardancer got strip ball, and the additional 80,000gp I got for that match meant I had my second wardancer by game 3.

Of course, I've probably used up all my luck on that match, and now gobbos will kill or permanently maim 40% of my team in the first round. But that's Blood Bowl :P

Also, since it got my blood pumping tonight, when an apothecary is used and the result is badly hurt, then the player can come back onto the field. Wish I had known that before hand.

My last two real turns with possession of the ball both began and ended with double skulls. That's frustrating.

That apothecary thing was what I thought was a bug, but I just checked the LRB and in fact I was wrong.

That's good, I suppose. I kind of feel like bashing is overpowered already.

In an amazing upset, the Dirty Hambone goblins have upset the Wood Elfs. Many causalities insued, fortunately for me, they were all Elf. Good Game Ketar, was going back and forth for a while there.

Just finished the match against nstf's dark elves. Not his lucky day, Professor Glonkenstein injured one of his linemen on the very first block. Both linemen that were sent crowd surfing ended up badly hurt. Also, Suplex killed a guy. The one opening that nstf was able to create was ruined by a failed GFI roll.

Edit 2: I'd be happy to scrim anyone who wants to. I made a dwarven team with the same build as my tourney team, and I'd appreciate any practice i could get because I'm afraid I won't be able to stop fast teams. I guess i could start hanging out in the steam group chat room.

I tried messing around with BBmanager to see if we can get it to tracks stats. We might be able to make a PA tourney league and then have all the replays in one spot. I am still unable to upload the game I had with nstf, but it should be able to report stats such as dice rolls, what players made turnovers etc. I love stats, so this sort of thing is right up my alley. Would anyone else be interested in doing this sort of thing?

Also, this thread has me THIS CLOSE to getting a table top team and finding a local tourney\league.

Edit: Got it to work. Uploaded the match between nstf and I into the Public league. Interesting to look at the stats. For instance, my average number of dice per block is 1.84 vs. nstf's 1.23. I'll have to look at it for a little longer to see what metrics are actually useful (i.e., things you can learn from to improve your game.) [Nstf, steam message me if you aren't cool with me putting the replay up in the public league and I'll take it down.]

It is also worth noting that nstf's two blocking turnovers were due to throwing 1 dice blocks.

Hi everyone. I'm back and who wants to hear a tale of annoyance?

I got back and my computer has FRIED. So re-installing the OS on a temp system. This also means I lost much of my pre-prepared content for the LP. Crap. For this reason the next video won't be up for another week at least.

On the bright side this gives people time to get into the PALP! I will be checking once daily to accept all applications.

I'm not mad... really.

In order to prejudice no one, please note that multiplayer servers of Blood Bowl will undergo maintenance from the 20th to the 26th of October, in order to prepare the release of Blood Bowl Legendary Edition.
