    Hello everyone. Sorry I've been deathly silent lately... I've been deathly ill. That and the Blood Bowl servers were down so nothing to do there really.

    But now that I'm back hopefully I can get this all back up and running.

    Anyone else having troubles logging into the Blood Bowl servers? I keep getting the message that "this version is not supported." D:

    You'll have to patch, it should do it automatically when you try to log in.

    A close game between precisionk's goblins and my orcs, with me squeaking by with a touchdown on the last turn.

    A heroically thrown goblin almost landed on my ball carrier, but the troll, being a troll, decided to try to eat him instead.

    I leveled up a lineman to have Kick, and purchased a Troll.

    Bombardier is in standard edition, too. Maybe your team is grandfathered in from the rules that were in place when you put them together. Is your pogo player still a secret weapon?

    No, I noticed that his pogoer had lost the secret weapon. Did you check to see if you can buy a bombardier?

    Another of the epic moments from last night- he blocked my ball carrier at -1 str with a gobbo, rerolled and got double stars, preventing me from scoring.

    I'm going to go on a random rant about big guys now, if you gentlemen don't mind.

    Let us take arguably the best Big Guy in the game, the Kroxigor. There are three ways that using him can screw you; a Bonehead, which will happen 1/6 and therefore slightly less than 3 times per game; a bad block, which will happen 1/9 and therefore slightly less than 2 times per game, and convincing you to waste your blitz or a reroll on him, which will happen all too often.

    So just by using a Kroxigor, you should expect to get screwed by the dice an additional 5 times every single game.

    If you have two trolls, make it more like 11 times per game. Plus tying up useful players standing next to your troll.

    And starting off with that Big Guy has cost you 1, possibly 2 rerolls. Which amounts to 2-4 rerolls per game. Plus the rerolls that he convinces you to waste on him with his big puppy eyes.

    This is why I was going trollless up to now. In the majority of situations, a lineorc and a reroll is better than that troll anyway. Goblins, of course, really don't have a choice, and I don't really think it's wrong to start with a Krox either (7 str 4+ guys is insane). But if you've got big guys.... don't give them your blitzes, don't give them your rerolls, and remember that they are there to be invincible and tie up enemy players more than to do anything active (Minotaurs excepted).

    Well, I have my copy of BB:LE; now to decide whether to go with Chaos, Orcs, Nurgle, or Vampires. Although, if I go Vampires, I'll probably line them up 4-7 or 5-6; I don't particularly feel like inviting the dice to make half my team run off the field of play for a quick snack...

    Man, just skimming through the new teams on the website I'm pretty convinced I'll have to pick up this game once I am less strapped for cash. I enjoyed the first one but the crappy league functionality made me lose interest.

    Hopefully with the new in game league stuff I won't have to run some outlandish wiki set up by hand like the summer before last.

    I'm about to try out my copy of LE. I'll be happy to give my impressions and check for certain wished for features.

    As for the league I can now access the servers... so if you want to apply to PALP I'll accept all comers.

    For LE... you guys mind if I set up a league? If I can have that honor I'll be calling that shit Penny Arcadian League. Green?

    I havent run into any crazy weather yet. I have however used wizards. They blow stuff up good.

    The Superkings have defeated Shaubonmyjohnson 2-0. (Screenshots will be added later)

    The rats started off as the receiving team, but an early pair of casualties and a KO led to dorfs taking over the ball. From that point, the dwarfs were able to play good old, slow paced dorfball. There was a scary moment at the kickoff of the second half, but the dwarven cage was able to form and maintain possession.

    Good game, SF_D. Hope you have better luck in your next match.

    hmm, I did the special offer for LE, but upon reaching the download area, I'm getting the notification that the product is out of stock and that they will have a license within 2-5 working days (?!). Hopefully that gets remedied soon :p

    at least I can download the game right now (2.88gb), but the lack of license immediately upon purchase is a little annoying.

    It totally is. I'm digging this new Blood Bowl smell.

    They've implemented everything I had hoped for. Sadly, Lyk I don't thing persistent teams have been implemented. :(

    I think I will do the drawing as normal come Saturday and if whoever gets drawn already has it well... I'll remove them from the pool and re-draw.

    Also... DWARFBOWL? GAL DERNIT!

    I forgot to mention my level ups/ buys:

    In the last match, my runner and a blitzer leveled up. The runner got block, and the blizter got mighty blow. I have 70k in the bank, and i think i am saving up for either a second runner, or another reroll. No deathroller for awhile.

    Well shit. I prefer all my games on steam, especially given the weirdness of Cyanide's weird digital service and the whole "download for a month nonsense," but steam would be over $10 more expensive. Hurgh. Then I'd feel like I got ripped off buying the original version moreso.

    Edit: BUT APPARENTLY they are "out of keys" for the next 2-5 days and their awful servers caused my bank to decline them anyway! Huzzah!
