Gonna wanna RPG up here. Got Star Ocean 1&2 in the docket and Phantasy Star Portable 2 on the way. What else is a MUST BUY for the PSP.

Again, RPGing up. But maybe something with a little action? Some bullets? Or more swords and shinangins. I'll take what you got.

Sell it too me. Not just a list, but why!

Thank you.

The PSP thread in G&T might be a more helpful source.

Also, it depends on which model you've ended up with. As if you've got a Go, your library is rather smaller.

I'd check out the 5th Birthday PSP thread in G&T, and also browse through the PlayStation Store Thread as well.

Either thread is filled with information and posters who can give you all the recommendations you need for games and accessories.

If you're into Kingdom Hearts, Birth By Sleep is the best in the series.

Outside of what has been mentioned here...

-Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War
    -Valkeria Chronicles 2
    -Final Fantasy: Crisis Core

Those three plus the Star Ocean franchise are pretty much all I have for the system and it still gets more play than most of my consoles. Be sure to pick up the TV Adapter cable so you can play your games on your TV using the system as a controller. This really removed the claw-hand problem.

    Persona 3 Portable.

Also check out Valkyria Chronicles 2 (if you liked the first or like the style), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Jeanne d'Arc (if you like SRPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics), and Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.

If you dig the above SRPGs or like the genre in general, keep an eye out for Knights in the Nightmare which hits next month, unless you played it on the DS already.

Valkyrie Profile. Pretty much a pixel identical remake of the PS1 game, but still a damn good game. Storyline is aggressively depressing, but still good.

Battle system has some action elements to it, which you mention. Its turn based, but your turns are in real time with a combo system and ridiculous over the top finisher moves and such.

Thanks for the links and ideas. Ya, I bought one. It's on the way. I've got some trade in goods and I'm building a small but useful library.

If you're into strategy RPGs, Disgaea 1 and 2. Seriously though, these will steal all of your free time.
