Mind Fuck Movies

You know those movies that are just weird for no reason, they have crazy plot twists like the world is actually a hallucination or the protagonist is a clone or some crap like that.

Some weird shit:

Shutter Island

I didn't know what hit me in this one, I totally bought the story.

Man Moon was deeep, i felt for the character.

The Machinist

This one was just not really pleasant to watch, it was obvious the guy was crazy from the beginning.

This was, again, just weird for the sake of it, i didn't really care what happened at the end, it was obvious lunacy.


So discuss this type of movie or criticize or whatever, im sure theres people out there who need some closure on what the hell actually happened.

This thread is gonna be pretty spoiler heavy i guess, and these movies are meant to shock so maybe tag the important stuff.

    Moon was a terrific film and the music was really good.

    I enjoyed it thoroughly.

    I am not usually into movies that are out to fuck with you though.

    Oh god eXistenZ. That's the one about the new gaming system or whatever that's all virtual reality, right? Totally screwed with me when I first saw it. I was like twelve at the time, so that might have had something to do with it.

    I watched like most of The Wall.

    It wasn't bad but it would have been better without a drunk guy explaining it too me.

    Shutter Island was good up to a point, then it indulged in the one cliche no psychological thriller should. Leo's last line saved it, though. God damn.

    its funny cause im pretty sure whoever made that movie has no gaming experience, they think games are interactive soap operas with flesh guns... seriously how fucked up was that gun.
