Things I have learned today about Renaissance era Italy:
1. Don't trust a bitch with a fan.
2. Men with hoods will murder you.
3. Is it a clown? Then you're going down.
4. If your local apothecary is carrying a syringe instead of a leech, your humours will soon be all over the floor.

I like the expressions on the faces, they all look so happy to be killing, and smug about having killed, right before they themselves die.
edit: I guess for some of them it's more body language than expression.
Amazon says the third book comes out next February
The first book is The Lies of Locke Lamora
He's a brilliant con man (living underneath a temple for charity) who robs exclusively from the nobility.
It's a fantasy series set in a bunch of Italian style city states. lots of swearing, conning and bloody murder

The first one is great. It's like a fantasy Ocean's Eleven, but with more backstabbing murder.

I was going to do this edit, I figure everyone has already thought of it though
This was my first thought too, it's just the natural progression of things
More like a stabline.

Xenomorph-jaw-to-the-brain train!
I mean is it part of a series and why are they waiting on it?

Yawn.
The first one is great. It's like a fantasy Ocean's Eleven, but with more backstabbing murder.
Second one isn't quite as tight.
The recursive nature of the joke creates an infinite series of punchlines.
