The Galactic Republic has been thrown down after twenty-five thousand years.
The Empire has been raised in it's place.
Former Senator then Supreme Chancellor Palpatine has declared a new order, casting out the Jedi Order and begun a purge of it's members.
Using a vast army of clone troops He has wrenched control from the senate and shifted it to the military with him at it's head.
He has built a hidden force of power hungry force sensatives and tasked them with finding and destroying anyone that would stand against his rule.
His second in command is the great Darth Vader, once a powerful Jedi, now their bane.
In this new order many groups have been set as lesser citizens, the non-humans, the fringer, the outlaw have all been declared suspect.
This is your new life, this is your new reality, will you reach out to change it, or will you use it to make your own fortune.

Raif Ter'zu and Vash Oen
Location: Nar-Shaddaa and Coruscant

Vash
It has been an interesting two weeks for Vash, after nearly getting crushed an escape pod falling from orbit, while running from a card game that went badly. Gathering himself together checking to make sure he was still in fact alive, Vash looked up from the rather large pile of refuse, which must have come from a cafe due to the large amount of food the pile contained, he saw the front end of a small escape pod sticking up from the alley where he had been walking a few seconds ago. Looking up into the sky he could see the path this object had taken thru the vertical city on it's way to try and kill him.

After digging himself out of people's dinner from earlier this evening, Vash decided might as well see what it was that tried to kill him and if he could profit from it at all.

Raif
What a ride that was. Must send the maker of this escape pod a message and tell them that it doesn't fly to well if ejected in the upper atmosphere from a ship while it's exploding. However, the important point was that he survived, he was on the "ground" and he was alive. The alive part was what stuck in his mind as the really important part. Raif climbed towards the hatch in the front of the pod, when it opened from the outside.

Vash & Raif
After a week of slumming trying to find a job Vash ran across someone who was trying to make a name for himself in Nar-shaddaa. Giving Vash the name Simon Starfall, he said he would advance them a loan so they could get a starship if Vash and his partner would in turn work for him.

Delivering a hundred and twenty thousand credits and their first job. Simon told them he had a cargo sitting on Coruscant waiting to be picked up and delivered to a friend on Bellassa. With no other options on the table the pair took the credits and the job. Purchasing what appeared to be an older and heavily modified YT-1300 the droid selling it claimed it was a prototype for the YT-1930 that CEC had built as a replacement for the YT-1300. It was only a year old but had already had 10 owners, none of whom had it long or lived very long after it came under their ownership. It's was currently owned by and being sold by the Desilijic kajidic for a very reasonable price, as the last owner landed it on one of their landing platforms then had the bad form to die before he left the planet with it.

After settling the purchase and securing the proper paperwork the pair took off on route to Coruscant and their destiny.

A few days after they had made the jump to hyperspace, they dropped out to normal space just above the planet Couscant. Shortly after their arrival they were contacted by landing control and told to set down at docking platform 7E on the lower level F sector, and to have their papers ready on landing.

Gurny Warpz
Coruscant

Sitting in a small cafe near one of the starports, Gurny was doing her best to look like she was not there at all. She was sitting in the back had ordered a small meal and was minding her own business, when a rodian sat down across from her in her booth.

"You are not safe here Jedi, the Hand has been sent you must flee. there is a ship docking at platform 7E in an hour, they are picking up a shipment for a Simon Starfall, it is intended for the planet Bellassa. If you are not on that ship you will be killed by the Inquisition."

With that the Rodian got up and moved into the kitchen.

Raif grunted as he began prepping the ship to land. He had lost the coin toss to fly the 'new' ship he'd acquired with his new business partner Vash, but it's not like he had anything better to do, so he'd taken up co-pilot duties.
It had been a week since his one-man demolition of the Imperial cargo shuttle, and Vash had been the first person he'd met after his crashdown on Nar Shadaa. Raif knew his type well enough, he'd been on a few undercover sting operations in his time, and had spied on a great deal like him for CorSec. Most of those had been of the more Corellian persuasion, but if the shoe fits..
In any case, he'd struck up a fast friendship with the Kel Dor, seeing little other option, and the guy knew his way around the criminal underworld well enough. Raif's experience with it so far had been to remain unseen or at least unnoticed, and that was no way to find work sticking it to Imperial pigs.
As Raif busied himself at the controls on his side of the cockpit, he turned to his companion and asked, "You're sure all of our documentation is legit?"

Gurny waited a few minutes after the Rodian left. She knew she was "excessive" with the use of her lightsaber, but she didn't think it would be enough for the Inquisition to follow her. She wasn't a Jedi, damnit.
"Looks like a Wookie, Growls like a Wookie..." She said to herself as she left the cafe. She took a left at end of the street when Stromtroopers walked into the cafe.

Once she reached the docking, it was just a matter of time before she found E7. She looked at the ship before her. Gurny sensed two people on board, both men where neutral with the Force, neither good nor evil. She walked up to the ship's entrance but didn't get inside. "Hello? I was told that I was expecting a ride off-planet. Is this the ship I'm looking for?"

Vash was really happy. He had won the coin toss and was taking the Flying Cred in for its maiden landing.

" This is Vash Oen, pilot of the Flying Cred, confirming landing at Docking platform 7E in F sector."

"You're sure all of our documentation is legit?"

Vash turned to his new ally, his face clearly smiling:
" Well If they aint, we will have a really interesting next few hours."
He sure hoped the documents were legit. He had done some good modifications to this bucket.

"Well I hope port authority isn't feeling particularly discerning-" Raif head whipped around as he heard a feminine voice coming from the direction of the now open landing ramp.

"Hello? I was told that I was expecting a ride off-planet. Is this the ship I'm looking for?"

"Were we waiting on someone? Is that our cargo?" he asked Vash sharply, "How'd she beat the inspection crew here?"

    2 Minutes before

Vash Oen drew out his blaster from his holster, and started cleaning it while waiting for the confirmation on the landing. You never wanted to be caught without a weapon in this new "Empire" universe.

" I suggest you arm yourself well Raif, The Empire doesn't always fight fair. From the top to the bottoms of this new Empire, they are corrupt and may try to steal what does not belong to them - our newly acquired ship. They kill innocents and don't lose sleep doing it.

Of course we aren't that innocent now are we." - He grinned widely under his breath apparatus placing his blaster in his holster and fixing his armor under his clothes, hiding it well.

" And let's hope they don't search the stash we have. Even though its empty now, they might say it was not and threaten us with smuggling. Dopa meekie, dopa maskey sleemos."

"If it all goes well, lets hope there are good dancers in this place."
    He laughs, nudging Raif.

Vash looked at Raif, a bit puzzled:

" Usually The Empire inspectors dont knock before forcefully entering a spaceship." Vash checked his hip for his visible blaster. It was there, it was always there. A bad habit he had grown into the last few months.

"We could be. You got creds?" Vash asked still looking at the monitors in front of him.

Raif frowned and stroked his facial hair. The girl wasn't being entirely truthful, he could tell, but few in this world were entirely forthcoming. Shrugging, he turned to Vash, "Up to you. She may or may not have creds, and if we take her on, I say we wait for word on our cargo anyway, can't hurt to pick up a little extra money along the way. The sooner we get this tub paid off the better."

Listening to Raif, Vash keeps questioning the unknown possible passenger.

"Listen woman, we could discuss your "associates" now, but by my calculations you have about two minutes maybe three tops before the Imperial inspectors arrive. I suggest you board now and If they ask about you being here, you're crew. Ship morale officer or mechanic or something. We will figure out your situation right after the inspection. Oh and a name would be good. I'm Vash, the hairy fella is Raif."

Just as Gurny begins climbing the ramp the sound most of the galaxy is coming to dread can be heard. From the hatch way you can see a row of storm troopers legs as they march up to the ship. A few seconds after they come to a stop a much smaller human walks past them and up to the bottom of the ramp.

"This ship will now submit to a full inspection. You will present your ships documents as well as cargo manifest and it's what it's destination is here on Coruscant. Failure to supply these documents, or suppling fasle documents can result in anything from a fine to the confiscation of your cargo and your ship and your imprisonment."

The administrator drones off his speech as he has done for every ship inspection he has done for the last few months.

When he looks at the documents listed for the ship he looks up sharply.

"According to this you have traveled from Nar-Shaddaa to here, without a cargo? DO YOU THINK THIS IS MY FIRST DAY ON THE JOB. Soldiers secure this ship, I want every section searched, Do you think we are stupid, that we would not inspect your ship, no one flies a transport so far without a cargo, even if you were picking up something you would have brought something to sell."

With that said the storm troopers begin filing up the ramp and into the ship.

Two members of the squad hold the squad in the lounge area while the rest of the squad search the ship.

The search takes roughly half an hour, five of the six searching troopers come back empty handed. The sixth returns with a sealed crate he said he found stuffed into the upper gun well.

"And what is this, undeclared cargo, illicit goods you were trying to hide?"

    The administrator demands.

Vash looks shocked at the discovery, he looks directly at the head inspector looking angered and hurt.
"I am a respectable businessman and trader. My papers are in order. Why would I try to smuggle something on the most secured destination in known space - Coruscant. Me and my crew were send here to pick up a package. We weren't even planning to leave the docking/undocking area. And no people were going to leave the ship either."

"I see. This is a newly purchase ship, and it may have been left by the previous owner. Everyone knows smuggling goods onto Coruscant is impossible. Alright as we did not find any illegal goods you may go once we inspect the cargo you are picking up."

With that the administrator orders the troopers off the ship and towards where the labor droids have now stacked a large amount of cargo next to the cargo loading hatch.

"Inspect everything if it fits the manifest left them go."

with that he walks away, and the stormtroopers begin searching the crates.

Raif watched with interest as Vash began inspecting the cargo. Before long, though, a thought occurred to him.
"While he's doing that.." he trailed off as he made his way up the cargo ramp and into one of the crew bunk rooms.
He opened the spacer's chest at the foot of the bunk, rummaged around a bit, and pulled out a poorly folded garment. Making his way to the foot of the entrance ramp, he tossed it to Gurny, saying, "Here, you should at least look the part. They're mechanic's coveralls. I found them under a bed while we were in transit from Nar Shadaa. Put those on and, uh..roll around in grease or something. Hey, do you even know a hydrospanner from an arc wrench?"
Without waiting for a reply, Raif wandered back up the ramp, half listening for her reply and half muttering to himself, "Better know the difference between a hydrospanner and an arc wrench, I mean, you can't repair a bad motivator with an arc wrench, may as well slap some mesh tape on it and call it good, for all the good that'll do..." his voice trailed off as he wandered out of earshot.

After several minutes searching the now very full cargo area, Vash could not locate the crate the storm trooper had pointed out. However all of the cargo crates he had found were labeled properly with origin carrier and destination as well as contents, which all seemed to be medical and food supplies.

He knelt down and ran his fingers over the droid chassis, looking for any markings indicating the droid's origins. He had his ideas, but he wasn't going to say until he had confirmation.
"Well, if I learned anything on the force, it's that if you want the best information, go straight to the source. Let's ask him what he is ourselves, shall we?"
Pulling his personal multitool from his belt, he deployed the arc wrench from it, and gave a wink and a smile at Gurny. "Arc wrench."

After popping open it's access panel, Raif noticed that this droid has been heavily modified, and not always by someone who knew what they were doing. However the current problem became clear, alot of it's wires and sockets had been knocked loose by it's fall. He spent the next few minutes reconnecting everything, and checking to make sure nothing else had really gone wrong. after he had finished he still didn't know exactly what kind of droid this was, or who had made it, but he did know it was old, and most likely a protocol droid of some sort.

After Raif was finished he closed the droid back up, however the droid just sat there.
