Radiant Historia - Screw Destiny! (Atlus Dream Team RPG)
Heck yeah. I don't often buy remakes, but I adored the original. If they can keep up the quality for that extra scenario, and maybe smooth out some of the weird difficulty spikes, I'll be all over that.
Lol I just un-shrinkwrapped my copy of the original like a month ago and have been fiddling around in the beginning (not much time to actually play it recently).

Yeah... I'm only ten hours in on my copy. The graphics aren't getting a substantial upgrade, and I'm skeptical of how well they'll be able to integrate a third timeline, and we might not even get a port in the US for another year (if at all) so I think I'll just finish on my DS cart.
Limited Edition
A limited edition version of the game titled “Perfect Edition” will be released for 9,800 yen (excluding tax). It will include:
...
“Character original pack” DLC, enabling users to use the artwork from the original Radiant Historia game (excluding the new character).
Hey, problem solved.

I've actually tried to play Radiant Historia 3 times now.
The first time, the cartridge got lost.
The second time, a family member, upon starting her own file, chose to erase the file that looked to have the least play-time on it. Which was my file.
The third time, I lent the cartridge to a family member for a period of some weeks while I was playing other things. Then she moved out, and all evidence suggests that she had that cartridge with her at the time.
I've been wanting to try it once more and hopefully actually finish without bizarre stuff happening to the game.
What do you think, should I get another copy, or should I just wait for a possible English release of Perfect Chronology?

The DS version is still in print (!), so you can get a brand new copy for half the price that the 3DS version will retail for. Also, it's available now, as opposed to maybe in a year.
Unless you've already got a huge backlog, in which case you might not even get around to the game before Perfect Chronology comes out anyway.
thread rez because the game is out and uh i like it so far (playing the demo until the game shows up on tuesday). The saves should carry over. I like the combat, the story is a little meh to me right now but i can see some potential. the only thing i'm wondering about is how to get more money in game. (prologue)

aka the only characters I ever use unless i'm forced to do otherwise so they're the only ones I see.
As it is it's almost like some artist was told "draw a blond princess with a gun" and got no extra information.
Everyone else seems to look like themselves.
It's neat that most of the old design-elements are accounted for. Most of those things are clearly the same things, even the barely visible pendant.

I too reminisced about this game randomly, and, in a very serendipitous moment, realized this thread was resurrected.
