After running around on a lot of random servers I've found a bunch of them that let you type /home and you automatically appear at the default spawn point.

I haven't been able to figure out what that mod is though.

    Hey0 server mod has that.

Are you running bukkit? there are multiple bukkit plugins that give you that capability. I could link you to a few of them if you want, though some require a permissions system to set up while others just give it to everyone across the board.

edit: also hey0 has been dead for months, bukkit is what replaced hey0

    Awesome, thanks!

And yeah I'm running a brohosting server and it came with Bukkit already set up - but I was been overwhelmed by the amount of plugins for it and haven't touched it until now.

Just wanted to remind everyone that when this thread gets locked please wait for Nuka to make the 1st post and then wait for me to make the second.

This way I can put the current server status in my 1st post so people can check there to know whats happening with the server.

edit: So i found out that if you try to right click anything with string in your hands it will give this message "Worldguard: no defined regions here" and it wont access any chests or let you open doors. This is because string is the designated item for region identification, so just switch to another item and it should go away.

    Tonight's Cool Story (Bro):

I finally got a spawn point established at the apartment building in Petra. Also, I want to very publicly thank JimBob for repairing the Safe Passage tunnel exit at -900 that I had a part in blowing up and flooding from a creeper attack.

The pedestal of my first statue is almost completely up and is lit and spider-proofed, so morning attacks should be of minimum concern going forward. Next is getting lots and lots of sandstone.

So I just need confirmation that this link works: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19689254/render/map.html

It links to the test render that I did, and its uploading to dropbox now. Assuming it works I will start on the render and I will post when its done. Sorry about the wait.

edit: also I have put on pingwatcher for testing. It is designed to kick people with high pings to prevent server lag. If you do happen to get kicked then please ping the server IP and PM the results to me. Its only being tested right now, and I am waiting for another update to it before I'm going to keepp it on.

Ah ok, i will remove it now then

    edit: its been removed

Also it seems v1.5 may very well be released tomorrow. That means either make sure to not update your client or to make a backup of your bin file before you update. I will be updating as soon as bukkit+our core plugins update or whenever Portal 2 lets me.

works but is kinda grainier and weirder than the other maps at the highest resolutions

how do I add a sign?

also it looks like I have more developed neighbors, including that baffling cobblestone structure directly northwest of me that looks like it is hovering over a chunk error

gonna have to go check that out

Im still working out the best angle to render the map at, as well as how close the closest render should be and other stuff like that. I just need to make sure it doesn't go over like a 1.5gb and I will be good.

I was more so referring to the angle of the camera, its currently at 45 degrees but I may try an overhead render and see how that looks.

So, getting my minecart track to be anything close to the fancy system that the main lines have means I need to get brick created.

Anyone have any clay laying around that they'd trade for iron/gold/diamond?

You can get clay from using a gold shovel on sand. You get 2 clay per sand block.
