    could have just
Made Cullen the new knight-commander, Bethany the new first enchanter, Hawke the viscount

and it would have been peachy

but nope, Hawke goes "fuck Kirkwall" and goes to his unibomber shack

This is what I mean, it had all the makings of a very solid, nice conclusion that would lead into Dragon Age 3

and nope we get the least satisfying ending ever

guys i have a problem in this game

this problem is i keep having the wrong attributes for the gear of my level

like with my warrior, i am trying to balance out strength, constitution, and willpower

    but in doing so

i keep finding that while i meet the level prereqs for current gear

i keep missing the stat prereqs by a couple points

which means i am always using shitty gear for my level

    Templar siding ending spoiler
If you choose the Templars Hawke becomes the Viscount, but the mages see the entire incident as reason to revolt anyways and civil war still breaks out. Things just aren't that simple as we would hope .

    Yeah the end where
Dude is like "well, time to break out the blood magic!" I actually yelled "You fucking cock!" The second things get tough, mages get to blood magic. I mean fuck, i killed all those waves of dudes in like 2 minutes flat, and he's all "well we're doomed!" They didn't even break the line yet, when Anders dies we can complain about being fucked. til then holster that blood magic shit we don't need it yet.

How does one of the most level headed dudes do something that stupid?

    Well, that became a rant.

I let Anders live because he had the balls to become a Catalyst for something he deemed right. Really though the ending isn't nearly as cut and dry as you guys kinda hope it to be, which is something I find awesome in it.
When you kill him he says that his name will be remembered by mages forever.

I am fine with an open ended ending, like the epilogues of DA:O or the ending of ME2. What upsets me is that Hawke runs way and that is the last we see of him.

You go through a huge journey and at the end you run away and Varric says you went on some adventures or something.

    Not a good ending.

Ditto, but conversely, find the guy that wrote the Magistrate's Orders quest and well, don't punch him, but I guess raise your voice at him a little? Because of that quest, I googled to see if there was an option that didn't make me feel like a complete shitass, and I was reminded how many people think straight up murdering dangerous, mentally ill people is the obvious solution.

Given the setting and its equivalent period of time in Earth's history, a good outcome for that quest was always extremely unlikely.

I wonder if DA 3 will

I posted this in the G&T thread, but it bears repeating - if you have constructive feedback/criticism you'd like folks over here to see, I'm going to be passing it along to the Lead Designer, Mike Laidlaw.

If you're interested, PM me and I'll give you the e-mail address you can send it to.

Needs more variety in the way battles are setup and dungeons. I went through the same cave three times on the wounded coast for three separate missions. I really don't like having enemies appear in the same spot I am in as well.

Whoever is renting that out must be making a fortune.

I would like to thank you guys, though. I'm sure all the crazy floating around the web can be a pain, but I genuinely think the game has been great so far for me.

There was something I noticed with this. going through a dungeon map for one quest, I happened upon a forgotten loot pile from a completely different mission. I think the one I was on was killing the Tal'vashoth and the forgotten loot pile was from the blood mages in a cave one.

I mean, I think I understand the need to reuse maps (less unique environments means less loading of individual/single use textures), and rest assured my DA2 is running way better on medium settings than origins did on light. But that seemed a bit much. :P

pretty sure the pile was even labelled "Blood Mage".

It's probably the same cave. I did a couple quests that were there and later I did the Acts of Mercy quest with the Blood Mages and it was the exact same place. Even though it was in a different area.

    That's... What I'm saying?

    That's what I said.

I think they will probably have you make a new character in 3. It would be odd to make a new one in 2 then continue with the same character. Harder to do a start over of your superpowers I would think.

Well, what i am figuring is that
The hero just won't talk much and they will have a one voice actor for all races kind of ting, or they will be going around int he back ground doing stuff and you're playing as an agent of the Chantry trying to track them down and keep missing them.

"oh yeah they where just here. killed two fucking high dragons and half an army of dark spawn. the one had a guitar solo, it was outstanding. should have been here!"
