and I literally cannot find a place that will develop film, when did that happen
What?
CVS, Rite-Aid, fucking... Wal-Mart, maybe?
Any of these places should be able to develop
If you have old film, actually if you have any film, and you care about the quality of the processing and printing a drug store or Walmart are about the last place you should go. Do yourself a favor and find a professional lab that has people who know and care about photography work with your film.
Call a local camera store and see if there are any labs they recommend. If there is nothing local, Dwayne's Photo is a great alternative if you don't mind mailing your film out.
Okay, so I have a couple pictures. I bought myself a Canon EOS Rebel when I was in Iraq and had some fun with it. A lot of the pictures are from when I was still out there, and I have a few from a recent DC trip, and one from my old hometown. They're not all very technical, I've never had classes in photography or anything, I just took pictures of what I thought looked cool. Since there's a couple, I'm just going to spoiler 'em all.
Iraq - The base I was at was formerly one of Sadam's strongholds, so all the outlying areas have some leftover debris.
I worked night shift, so I got some pretty cool night shots when I found an old tripod left in my office, and got to play around with ISO and exposure settings and whatnot.
A sunrise.
More sun.
Me, surveying my realm.
Okay, this one is double-spoilered for minor gore. It's a picture of when I got "brass bite" (when you get burned by a bullet casing. I like the photo because you can make out the distinct shape of the casing, and it makes me chuckle. Hurt like a motherfucker, though.
This is a picture of the barriers that surround our living areas. If you look closely, you can see that I utilized the convenient seven-square-across design to make a calendar. I was at this particular base for 11 months, but couldn't fit the entire Hesco calendar in one picture.
Some choppers.
One of my favorite pictures: This is the office I worked in. The pirate flag is mine :P If you look closely, you can see the deck on the back side where we would hang out to smoke, and where I took most of my pictures from. Special note on that pirate flag, it's currently serving a tour in Afghanistan with my best friend who's out there for the rest of the year.
This is the Iwo Jima memorial in Washington DC. I tried to go a little artsy with it. It may look small in the photo, but it's actually pretty damn massive. I think it's 30-something feet to the tip of the flag pole. Also, I apologize if the photo looks like it's a little off center. I don't know if I was holding the camera crooked or what...
Visiting Arlington National Cemetery was truly a harrowing experience. The place is truly massive, and the resting place of some of the nation's finest men and women. This is only a VERY small view of the cemetery, with The Pentagon in the background.
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A very powerful and emotional place.
This is the Korean War Monument. I thought it is particularly interesting because of how it's built - the individual statues each represent a different demographic from the war, and make up the one monument. I would have to look it up to double-check, but I believe there are 19 slightly larger-than-life-sized statues, shown walking out of the trees. The placement was meant to give the illusion of an innumerable force, and the shrubbery that make up the monument are supposed to represent the flora of Korea.
Another part of the Korean War Memorial - a fountain set directly across the path where the statues are facing.
A section of the Vietnam War Memorial's "Wall." Truly a beautiful peace of work.
This was taken down by the river near where I used to live. I really like the area, and I make it a point to visit every time I'm nearby.
Man, that took longer to type than I thought.

You could try it with this http://www.bythom.com/wce63.htm in addition to the mount. Be forewarned that this type of DIY could be a large pain in the posterior regions.
damn fishdude, as an ignorant plebe I must say those photos are pretty swag

I like other people's photos of things
I have taken so many photos of things
At some point about 2 years ago I went, 'Holy shit I haven't taken pictures of people (outside of work) in forever' and then I started focusing on that
Now I haven't taken pictures of things in, like, a year and a half
I really like the iphone4's camera in light but in the dark it is a steaming pile of asses.
Yeah it was the tiltshift app, as well as camera+.
I haven't had too much trouble in low light, but I do try to avoid it when possible. The parking lot photo for instance had some crappy lighting going on, but turned out pretty okay imo.

It's when the convoy is headed to Helm's Deep and Eowyn is asking Aragorn about the necklace, right?
Yeah, that's it. The whole Park was used for most of the travel to Helm's Deep segment, so as you wander around the hill you see bits used in the Worg Attack, or other bits of the journey.
Posts
Then I also had this picture of a golden pavilion I'm not going to post because millions of people have taken the exact same picture, only better.
I also had a picture of a robot playing a trumpet
edit: Also japanese gardens are the prettiest
this photo confuses even me and I took it.
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
Steam: Chagrin LoL: Bonhomie
I picked up this bad boy at the goodwill store for eight bucks and have been fiddling with the idea of making something to attach it to this
hopeless, right?

what kind of mount is on that

Here's a handful of the few I have actually got around to hosting on my Flickr.
FIFA World Cup!
(I kinda want to see what this looks like as a Black and White - dammit, another thing to do to add to the list)
Hawaii!
Queenstown/Remarkables/some location from LotR!
Guatemala!
Here's one I took in Byron Bay at AusPAX a couple months back.
I look at it and thing 'it's not bad, but it could probably use a tighter crop...'

Technically it is very mediocre but it always cracks me up when I look at it.
Sometimes photography is just about the way that a photo makes you feel

agreed
Landscapes rarely need a tighter crop.

it has some kind of block on the bottom with two 1/4-20 holes about 2 inches apart (front to back)
also, here and here is the only information I've been able to find on it
This looks like what you need to mount it to a DSLR
mounting to your little P&S might be impossible.

I've been missing getting out for photos because of endless rain
Oh man oh man I think I know where this is

I guess?
I think I'm better at taking pictures of people, though
But thanks, of course

I mean, are there any phone or p&s sensors that can do low light?
no I mean you're right
and I mean what can you expect from a lens that's a quarter of an inch wide?
