shit, i gotta figure out something to do so as to not be a total lamer.
Amtrak called me earlier today to let me know that my train to Denver has been cancelled on account of repair work, probably due to the crash. This basically came at the worst possible moment, because trains running out of Cincinnati are rare, everything is booked up, and so on.
three hours of calling and yelling at people later, I've wrestled the schedule back into a manageable...ish format. Changes have been updated in the itinerary already, but here are the pertinent changes
*DENVER HAS BEEN PUSHED BACK TO JULY 21ST TO JULY 24TH
*HOUSTON HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE ITINERARY
*I WILL BE ARRIVING IN PORTLAND ONE DAY LATER THAN SCHEDULED
I think that about covers it. Everything has been discussed with my relevant couches, but I'll say again here that I'm sorry for any issues this causes.

I was still pretty awesome even when I was destroying rail lines and watching you sleep.
Tarr has touched down in Oregon. We ate at food carts right away. He remarked at seeing a girl with a nose ring and then threw his pop can in a trash can and everyone stared at him!
