Also Sky Atlantic in the UK.

And this one's weird for me. I've totally read all the books but all I really remember is a few key events. Watching the series for me is a revelation in a different way. I'm just constantly thinking "Oh yeah, that happened, didn't it. Forgot all about that bit."

    Birthday comic!!!!!!!

    I had a lobotomy
And now I'm not so nuts
They took away half my brain
    Now I eat cigarette butts

    I am not too bright
    Now I'm kind of sane
    I am really stupid
    Hey is that the rain?

I used to go down on the street
    I used to have scar
    Now I ask for money
And I chase cars WOOF WOOF

But when I come into your town
I like to shout a lot
I run around and scream a lot
    'Wow this is hot!'

    Oh I feel much better
I think I'll go back home
    And after I am finished
    I'll marry a lawn gnome

    Boy that'd be so beautiful
    As happy as can be
Because I don't care too much, you see,
    For my lobotomy!

I really need a job now
    I look in the paper
But I can't never find nothing
    I have a scraper

    But I'll keep on looking
    I'll look until I can't see
If you want someone who's nuts
    Be a host on TV!

The books are pretty dang long, but as long as you read the first one before starting the series you should be fine.

Only about 100 pages per week. It's a different experience when you already know what will happen, instead of watching it for what will happen, you are looking for what has changed. The series certainly manages to bring a bit more life to the characters.

The books are pretty much are great, mostly because they show a whole fantasy world in motion, with a large cast that act on events far and near in believable (though not always smart) ways. And the outcomes will surprise you at many turns. The unpredictability keeps you on edge.

    Comic itself is great.

I got nervous reading the first line because I haven't gotten to see the second episode yet.

But I also haven't read the books. So every episode will be like a new Christmas.

A creepy, weird, and violent Christmas.

    sooooo true

If someone has read or watched something entirely before me. I will start the conversation saying where I am in the series/game, so that they are aware of what is spoiler territory.

and visa versa. If I've read/watched all of something, I'll ask where someone has gotten before I start talking bout stuff with them.

    Spoilers are a bummer :(
