    DAY ONE

    I'm your Huckleberry

The called him Doc. A popular in-joke dating back more than a century, the Sheriff's Office located in the Cochise section of the city always seemed to have a Doc around the place. This one was young, new, and smart. He heard the mutterings in the halls. Valdez had been new. Valdez had shot that old bastard, LeRoi. This had to be some kind of powerplay, from outside. Trying to take out the Sheriff's Office from within. Well, the old boys weren't having none of that. And Doc saw the way things were, left his sidearm in his locker, and took the tram on down to the old show town. Shouldering his way through tourists he watched the actors do their thing, until he saw the SkyCruisers coming in over the horizon.

They found him up in the park, on the bluffs overlooking the festivities going on in town below.

"You ain't one of us," they said.

    "Yeah, take off that uniform!"

Doc only smiled. He turned to his former partner. "Why Ed does this mean we're not friends anymore? You know Ed, if I thought you weren't my friend... I just don't think I could bear it...."

Unlike the real Doc Holliday, Deputy Kippy met his end in Tombstone, on the bluffs overlooking the historic O.K. Corral.

    ***

The came in masks. Pig masks, that only covered half their faces, and did nothing to disguise the brown uniforms of the Sheriff's Office. Deputy Lucedes went for her scattergun, but only got a billy club to the throat and a boot to the face for her troubles. Deputy Phyphor struggled as they held him to the ground and various blows caught him in the face and groin.

"You ain't never shoulda hit me, Phyphor. That's assaultin' an Officer of the Law, that is. Now you're gonna pay, and your partner's gonna watch."

"Go fuck yourself!" was all Phyphor managed before being silenced by another blow.

"Now that ain't any way to talk. I'm fixin' to send you back to Keel in pieces, you don't beha-aaaargh!"

The talker screamed as Lucedes jammed her bowie knife into the back of his thigh, and swept his legs out from under him. He screamed and struggled for a moment as they rolled on the floor before Lucedes had his pistol in her hands. She got her feet under her and began to rise before the man who took her scattergun caught her with the barrel at her temple.

    "Not fast enough, chica."

    ***

The assassin waited. The target was coming and patience was a virtue. Still, he was taking his damn sweet time about it. The wind blew a cloud of dust through the air. Overhead, a zeppelin drifted slowly into the embrace of one of the floating entertainment zones, the sweet shade providing for cooler temperatures in the market square. Almost a mile away Deputy 3Clipse turned to lock the door to the little villa where he was stashing his most recent mistress. The good news being that he was technically on duty, which meant better benefits for his widow-to-be.

    The assassin squeezed the trigger.

    ***

Deputy DrKippy - The strain was more than he could bear
Deputy Lucedes - Shotgun to the face
Deputy Phyphor - Beaten to death
    Deputy 3Clipse - Had a hot date

I think Void Slayer may be a bad bet seeing as how he ended the game of chicken with the Tie on Day 1. If he was Mafia, I'd imagine he wouldn't mind a giant massacre.

Sry guys got home a few minutes ago. And I can give Sigmund a viable excuse for his failure to post earlier, he was traveling to see a friend that flew into town today. He maybe had access to a computer to post for like 5 mins and didn't realize that vote closed at 9est instead of later.

Doesn't seem to be a lot to go on yet, unless I'm missing some glorious bit of information. That means today won't have a lot of activity unless we get a bandwagon going soon enough that somebody has to defend themselves.

Lucedes seems as good a choice as any.

Well, it isn't great justification. I mean, he called out the inactive players, and one of them responded by declaring that he was making something out of nothing.

But I'd rather a bandwagon to build up some voting records and discussion then sitting around waiting for them to murder all us upstanding Deputies.

Alright, I see the village has the same excellent sense it has had recently. I suggest if your with the village you don't vote for me, as:

    EPIC REVEAL
I am Detective Julio Cortera a high flying detective who works for mega corporations on the orbital platforms. I got my start in Sun City under Keel as a Deputy like you guys and am back to pay my debt by helping his successor.

My information gathering techniques might be harsh, but I can get the job done.

I am a village seer. Seems the village seer radar is as good as ever.

I have so far found a single deputy loyal to Keel.

Here is hoping the village has guards.

So um, I'll need a guard if possible now that I have revealed I guess, never really played a seer much before.

And I'll keep everyone updated on my discoveries.

I'd assume that we have a Seer, and if you're lying, they'll out you to someone.

In the mean time, if not you, who would you choose? Since you know at least one other loyal deputy we should avoid?
