I am going to a Rice baseball game this Saturday.

So, Church and confession were kind of strange. Like they made me feel a lot better. I was only asked to say one Our Father, and the priest was nice enough to lead me through it.

The mass/service was very brief. Just 30 minutes. The first reading was Genesis, about Adam naming the animals and the creation of Eve. The second reading was about Jesus in Tyre, and a pagan woman asking for his help to cure daughter.

I uh, also bought a Bible today.

Oh man, soon I shall have to fear Loren Michael's wrath.

I have a Koran. My parents have a bible. I tend to just use online resources, though. Way easier to search.

    Also, I collect chick tracts:

It is the difference between watching a bunch of guys beat the shit out of each other, and watching one dude getting his spine snapped by a professional career destroyer. Our violence is more loveable.
Who doesn't love to see a dude's head snap back like this?

How can you love it if it doesn't make you go "oooooooooooh!"?

Those'd cost hundred + in the dollars. Go check out goodwill or some pawnshops and get it cheap. You're in fucking New York City. Don't tell me there isn't one somewhere that's dirt cheap. Hell go talk to some crack heads, you can probably get one for the change in your couch.

Man I just talked to an old friend of mine and he has gotten creepy lately.

All talking about how Christianity is a cancer that needs to be liquidated "one tumor at a time." I mean I'm atheist and all but this kid was spouting some creepy shit. All saying that Hitler wasn't as bad as "they" want you to think.

I mean I tried to explain to him that he was dealing on an abstract, absolute level and not on a human level, and that on a human level I have some Christian friends who are okay dudes and I would be very upset if they got "liquidated" but he kept going on about removing tumors and shit.

I'm not trying to start a "LOL atheists are as bad as Christians!" discussion, I'm just saying it was really kind of twisted and I've always known that he was pretty strongly atheist but this was really fucking weird for me to hear a friend of mine say such ridiculous shit.
