I do. Over and over again. When I finally snapped and tore the rooms apart they just refused to respawn entirely, despite there being 3 perfectly decent and valid npc houses nearby.

So the update broke my sound (I play using Wine in Linux.) Does anyone else use this/have any idea on how to unbreak it? If I'm emulating any Windows after XP there is no sound, and XP or earlier there's this impossibly annoying echo.

And that makes me sad. I really hate having to hold a torch in my hand or wear a mining helmet/molten armor to see what's around me. It's one of the only things about this game that I get a bit agitated about.

When I first played the game, I got a mining helm and refused to remove it because yeah, torches and shit having to be swapped out and in was annoying and a little unnerving. But now that I've gotten use to the game, y'know, ain't no thang. Help when you can just drop a torch on the ground like whenever anyway.

By the end, you're probably glowing whenever you move and/or attack anyway.

I kind of wish the mining helmet was cheaper. By the time you can scrape together enough gold, you probably already have or are about to get a lightsaber anyway.

No, and I have around 50 torches in my inventory. I just get annoyed doing that is all. I'd rather be digging and fucking up monsters' shit.

So, I finally found a few decent veins of copper/iron... And one of silver! I have enough silver now for a pick and was wondering if it was worth it or if I should save the silver for something else. I'm leaning towards the pick just so I can dig faster!

The iron is obviously saved for chains(later) and chests. The copper... should I craft a copper sword or go for some armor?

Is it just me, or is hell more of a pain in the ass now? I got down there just a moment ago, and even before the background changed, I was getting swarmed by imps. There were 5 on the screen all throwing fireballs at me at the same time. Just a tad aggravating. :P

Same experience. Solo world and was getting swarmed in hell. I had three worms on the screen and four imps.

Also thought it was funny that cave bats could swim.

Had a problem with the new 1920x1200 resolution. Set it and my window didn't change size. If I maximize the window it just stretches the current. Back to a third party launcher to set my screen size.

I upgraded my pick before anything else. I looked at it like this, if I need other armor/equipment of the same ore i will dig it up faster with a better pick!

yeah the spawn rate in hell seems higher, which i welcome. I was down there for a few minues right under my hellavator and had a couple imps and 4 bone serpents, tore them up and then the steady attack of imps/serpents kept up. It was nice, I got another flamelash and a couple more fire flowers (up to propably 7 or 8). I have this weird addiction to collect things.

I've run at 1920x1080 since the last patch (the one that allowed us to set resolution) and never had any problems.

Also, every time I see a jelly kill an innocent bunny I go murder it. Hate those jellies more than ever now.

So the magic hat is worthless. It's a headslot item and not an accessory. Until magic gets its own set I guess it's not worth using. Jungle helps sure but that's more useful for flying around with your rocket boots than actually using the offensive spells.

You can build lots of fancy things, but they do have to be in 2D, so it tends to limit how elaborate you can be. I would say that for the most part Terraria is about action, exploration and equipment gathering. But there are no real limits on what you can build (other than the 2 dimensions) if you gather the materials.

He'll spawn again! If you find a Starfury and have decent mana then the fight will go well. I have several if you want one.
I killed him earlier today for my second time. I would use my SF then when i was oom switch to the hammer made from demonite. It's slow but it can 1 shot all those pesky eyes. They really hurt :x

You don't need to use the item to summon Eye of Cthulu if you haven't killed him yet in your current world. He'll spawn up on his own after the "You feel an evil presence watching you" shows up.
So yeah you wasted an item. :)
