Gorgeous 2D side scrolling loot game by the creators of Odin Sphere. O, and tits and ass. From the wiki:
Dragon's Crown is an action role-playing game structured like a traditional side-scrolling beat 'em up where players move their characters across the screen into the background or foreground attacking enemies. Players may choose between one of six characters—Fighter, Amazon, Elf, Sorceress, Wizard, and Dwarf—who must travel through a number of environments using standard attacks as well as magic spells to defeat enemies.[4] Each character has their own specific strengths and weaknesses such as attack power, movement speed, special attacks, and selection of magic, with the characters' growth throughout the game also being customizable by the player.[5] During gameplay, players may come across items which can be used to aid characters, as well as equipment and weapons which can increase a character's statistics and battle strength. The title features branching paths in every level which are traveled based on the player's decisions during gameplay, such as choosing to steal an item from a boss character, running instead of engaging an enemy, or searching for secrets, which will lead to alternate areas.[6] Quests may also be undertaken by players which hold specific objectives for each dungeon, which all come with their own rewards
Fighter (Voiced by: Kenjiro Tsuda (Japanese), Patrick Seitz (English)):[9] A male knight clad entirely in plate mail who carries large shields. He has the highest defense of all characters, and though his one-handed weapons have short reach, they can be swung very fast.[10]
Amazon (Voiced by: Atsuko Tanaka (Japanese), Cindy Robinson (English)):[11][12] A voluptuous, muscled, scantily clad female warrior who fights with large two-handed weapons and performs powerful kicks. She boasts high attack power and agility, but has low defense.[13]
Wizard (Voiced by: Hiroki Yasumoto (Japanese), Yuri Lowenthal (English)):[14] An erudite male magic-user who wields long staves. Despite low physical strength, he commands a host of destructive magic that can damage enemies in a wide area.[15]
Elf (Voiced by: Asami Imai (Japanese), Eden Riegel (English)):[16][12] A nimble female forest-dwelling archer who is much older than her youthful appearance would suggest. She attacks foes from afar using bow and arrows.[17]
Dwarf (Voiced by: Unsho Ishizuka (Japanese), Jamieson Price (English)):[18] A short, heavyset male bruiser who wields a weapon in each hand. His great strength allows him to pick up enemies and throw them at others like projectiles.[19]
Sorceress (Voiced by: Kikuko Inoue (Japanese), Erin Fitzgerald (English)):[18] A buxom female mage armed with staves and dark magic. Her spells are used mostly in a supportive capacity by conjuring food, summoning skeletal servants to fight by her side, or turning enemies into harmless frogs.[20]

I do love their typeface though.
On the other hand, I am getting a really strong D&D Arcade feel from this, which is *awesome*.
Also, Wizard FTW.

I thought I was the only one who noticed the abs.
I'm curious how they'll distinguish the Fighter and Knight.
Edit: since they don't appear to be on the official site: Siliconera has character art for eight.
Um, wow.

Yeah holy shit
I can't imagine someone looking at the sorceress design and not feeling embarrassed for themselves
Seriously awful
My my so many prudes in this day and age, let a women flaunt her body if she so desires, she is a sorceress after all, no need for all that armor getting in the way of her spell casting, the less clothing the better her combat abilities! ~_~
I'm dead serious."
Yeah, I love Vanillaware and the gameplay is right up my alley and there is seriously no way I'm getting this. Those designs are straight up terrible.
