Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
It will come out on November the eleventh, in the year of Our Lord, two thousand eleven
(11/11/11)
The dragons are back and you gotta find out why and kill a lot of 'em cause you're the last dragonborn and then you gotta stop Alduin from eating the world
Argonian morphology has shifted quite a bit. The loss of the digitigrade legs I can weather (especially considering the atrocious waddle they generated) but I am pining for the return of the coiled horns.
Named my last two mains after historical figures who depicted Hell - Bosch and Dante respectively, both conjuration Argonians.
The question now is - Blake, Barlowe or Milton?
Having listened to the podcast they were (as is common) wonderfully vague on almost every topic, and of course the interviewers failed to push anything to them (We need a more investigative and interrogative games journalism) so all we really know is they "are messing around with" combinations and so forth. I would guess the system will probably default to a spell which has slightly weaker versions of both effects with occasionally certain mixes producing something special or strengthened (complimentary/opposing elements, dual identical spells etc.)

I think it's hilarious that you think game journalists need to push developers on details they don't want to release yet. Like we have some kind of innate right to this info. What are you covering up Bethesda? It's skoomagate all over again!

And this is information that isn't set in stone yet. Why would anyone want them to be pushed into saying what they're working on in specific details that sounds awesome, but when they playtest it and it sucks cock they take it out. and everyone gets pissy at them?
We don't have an entitlement, but a podcast where one of the only concrete pieces of information was what was NOT in the game and the rest of which was vague mumbling seems counter-productive. Perhaps Bethesda should have restrained themselves from throwing Skyrim into the public eye without more solid info at hand, because the fanbase will inevitably whip themselves up into an inquisitive frenzy and then receive very little to sate them.
In any case they could at least be more specific or share more details - as an example, I would have liked to hear some of the issues they had with the test build where any NPC could potentially be a companion, or to elaborate on why they removed spears.

That's the problem of the rabid, minority fanbase if they insist on freaking out. The rest of us reasonable fans will get along just fine. I don't see why Bethesda should cater to silly geese.
I think a general rule is to not read/watch an interview and expect any new info. If they had anything new to announce, they'd likely announce it and not hope the interviewer asks them that specific question.
Yeah, I'd rather they be slightly cagey about what's in the game than go too far the other way like Molyneaux and then none of the stuff raved about is actually in there because it was a bastard to implement properly.

I played a mighty Viking with the powers of hammer and lightning.
I don't believe they have said it won't be in. But I'm not holding my breath for it being included.
