Hey there fellow Paxers! I am covering Pax Prime 2011 for a media outlet this year & playing gigs in the Seattle area. ?- How would I be able to get on the 'Jamspace' lineup? Any leads would be helpful.

    Thanks!

I've gone to PAX for a few years now. Honestly I considered not going this year (blasphemy I know) except for the chance to see the Protomen perform again. I saw them in Pax Prime 2010, and it blew my mind. I'm sad to see that they're not on the lineup, but really happy to see that they'll be playing nearby the same weekend. Maybe the crowds won't be as big?

Tempted to purchase tickets just to guarantee entry.

Unless you're really strapped for cash, buy the ticket just in case. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it sold out ahead of time.

Also, the venue is very small, so likewise the crowds will be too.

I emailed El Corazon and asked about the likelyhood of a sellout and the only response I got was that capacity was 750.

Well they couldn't honestly answer that anyway, it's going to depend on who's performing. And there's a large Protomen following in the PAX crowd, so I'm just assuming the place might fill up.

Not to mention that ticket purchasing supports the starving artists playing :p

    Nice

1st PAX was Prime 2010. Made it to several more Primes/West. Been to East and South. Headed back to West in 2019 for my 12th PAX.

I'd like to play a little "Guess The Concert Schedule". My predictions?

    Friday Night:
Supercommuter (Will be my first time seeing them)
MC Frontalot (More songs from Zero Day, maybe Your Friend Wil with Wil?)
Metroid Metal (At least 1 Metroid related song and... maybe another game that's an RPG... maybe...)
The Minibosses (EXCITE BIKE! CASTLEVANIA! MEGAMAN 2! Sleep, who needs that?!)

    Saturday Night:
Omegathon Round 3 (Not guessing the game... Just Dance??)
VGO (will they have figured out Golden Sun by then?)
Paul and Storm (hoping for a "Randy Newman" song and Better Version of You)
Jonathan Coulton (plays "Want You Gone" and at least 3 songs from new album, which will have already been released... Also, First of May!)

    Commence speculation!

I could only hope for that Saturday Schedule! I'm most interested in seeing VGO, P&S and JoCo, so that'd be ideal! But since I never get what I want, that has to be wrong! ;)

Don't think I saw it posted here, but the protomen are playing for the post pax party on Sunday. Reference this thread- http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/139781/3rd-annual-post-pax-party-jillians-featuring-jonny-nero-and-the-protomen#Item_157

    50 tickets left.

Thanks to everyone who messaged me about the Jamspace and what not. Much appreciated!

I'm so looking forward to the next weekend, it's going to be a blast.

    Question about Protomen-

The doors open at 8 but the show starts at 9, yes? I bought a ticket to be sure to make it in, but if I wait until, say, 8:45 to get there would I be pressing my luck of making it in the door? Since I know they will open free space to PAXers.

I just want to see if I have time to grab a quick bite before the concert.

If they're doing it "right" they should only admit as many free peeps as there were unsold tickets, but who knows.

    why are you smelling it?
