I am in Jubilife city, and I have captured Piplup, Bidoof, Starly, Shinx, and Kricketot. I do not yet have a sixth pokemon.
I just got a map from delivering the package to [friend name here], the pokemon watch from finding the three clowns, the TM10 from the trainers fielding Abra at the school in Jubilife, and a quick claw from some other person.

Right, so you're not very far in. Really the best advice I can give you at the start is to always be learning, checking out and trying out moves and new pokemon, talking to npcs (as npcs will teach you a lot about the basics of the game, especially early on) and having a variety of different types. Tms are one-use until Black and White, so they're best saved for later.

So Kricketot does have an attack, I just didn't understand how it worked. Durr. Doesn't help much though, because he gets his ass kicked so hard I have to change him out before he can use it.
