Threads in Graphic Violence loading very slowly.

Like the title says. It started recently for me. In the time it takes for one a link in Graphic Violence to load I can middle click onto most of the other sub forums and load several threads in them. It's not a major problem, but it is strange I think. I'm using Chrome and I've cleared my cache. I've tried it in IE9 and it still behaves the same.

That one is the worst of all. It probably takes twice as long to load as those other ones. I checked to see how long it takes for several different pages of that thread to load and it was between 30-40 seconds per page.

Those other examples take around 10 seconds.

Most other threads unless they have a ton of content to load do so right after I click onto them. Even if they have a lot of content to load like large pictures they load up text and such beforehand. The threads in Graphic Violence are just a white screen and on my tap the circular loading thing is all I see.

It seems that after making that post some of those threads seem to be loading like normal. I'll let you know if it returns.

Yeah, same here. Sometimes one of them will load up quickly, but it's usually that X-Men thread that takes forever

edit: The DC thread just took a minute and 22 seconds for me

X-Men took 42 seconds

I'd like to point out a similar problem I've been having, where the Notifications tab loads up very slowly for me, far slower than the comments or discussions tabs (though they've been slower than normal as well).

Wow, yes, I have been having this problem too. I just assumed it was my computer.

I clicked on the links posted by Macro9 and seem to be having a similar problem there as well as well.

I'm using IE8.

I've this happening with the [PHOTO] thread in AC and the Screenshots thread in MMO Extravaganza. I'm placing my money on threads with loads of pictures loading slowly in Vanilla.

I think this is somewhat related to thread age and size. Try remaking the threads, we had this problem in the mod forum and that was our solution.

I noticed that if you have a lot of notifications everything loads up slowly. I had ~650 a minute ago and it took about 2 minutes to load up a forum. I cleared it out and now it loads up almost immediately. Give that a shot.

Wow, that did the trick. The Gears3 thread in G&T was taking forever to load, but once I deleted my 7,000 notifications it loads quick as anything. I wish I could just turn the notifications off without removing stuff from my bookmark list.

They should go away after you visit your profile or click onto notifications in it.

I keep them trimmed, and I still have the problem.

The numbers are gone next to my name (and the notifications tab), but they're still in there.

You cant delete notifications or PMs at the moment.

No idea if they stay forever or if they get trimmed after a certain amount though.

Okay, apparently the problem wasn't fixed by deleting notifications. Threads are still as slow as always.

I just want to chime in that I can't even make a post anymore without having the forum hanging up. Threads either load slowly or not at all, too.

I do hope it's being worked on, because this might be the worst shape I've ever seen the forums in.
