A strange mixture of demonic blood and draconic fury, when discovered Hellkites are to be dealt with swiftly and without remorse. One of the few true breeding dragons created by unnatural means, they are terrible foes. Their exact origin are unknown, but they have shown traits of demons, and are clearly not possessed by such a force or normal methods of dealing with demons would make them less of a threat. Right now all we truly know is that their breath burns with the unnatural glow of hellfire, and that their biology is similar to the few demons we've managed to recover.
Tactics advice: One of the few types of dragons where iron weapons would be a boon. Specifically, pure iron 40mm bullets for an AA battery.
yeah, but the art was just me picking things i like, it's the words that are mine.
It's a combination of both, however in terms of the writing I really enjoy the classifications as well as the tactics advice. Really I'm impressed that you've been able to illustrate that there are distinctly different breeds of dragons.
When one torrent of flame is just not enough there are: Multi-Headed Dragons
A strange and atypical breed, multi-headed dragons are more a mutant strain of dragon than true breeding type. A recessive gene apparent in all dragons seem to be the cause— necessary for both parents to possess for the effects to appear in off-spring, it can produce a very dangerous creature. Similar to other two-headed species, or the hydra, each head can think independently. But they still form a close bond to their mates, as they share sensory information with each other in addition to redundant organs; though not all organs are necessarily duplicated, you can expect to find at least one extra heart and set of lungs, usually proportionate to the number of extra heads. For some reason not currently known these dragons are typically descendants of breeds from Slavic areas, though most any dragon seems to carry at least part of the necessary material. Whether you think of them as deformed mutants or the next stage of draconic evolution, these creatures are incredibly powerful.
Tactics advice: While sensory information is shared constant shuffling between heads' vision can cause confusion. And don't believe stories about making the heads fight, we so far have not been able to duplicate the result; we believe it to either be pure luck or dramatic licence.
With their magics and polymorphing and strange biology, dragons have the ability to mate with any living creature, beyond reasonable and comfortable levels. After generations this can lead to new and strange creatures developing independent of dragons. None of them possess the sheer power of dragons, but are still noteworthy on their own.

melding would you be good with being a consultant on myth and monsters for something I might in my brain a few months down the line?
Manticores are a bit of a weak point of mine. I know they fly, deadly scorpion tail and three to six rows of teeth, but outside of that, i don't know too much. I think they're desert bound, or at least Savannah like areas. Also point of debate: head like a man, or freaky lion face? They seemed to be like a counter point to the sphinx, but come from a completely mythology.
Also the dragon probably wouldn't fuck you in dragon form, it would probably tak eon a similar form and then do the last, then fly away into the night, having gotten their's.
Honestly, i'm not entirely sure, we don't have much information on creatures from down under.
If i had to wager it is likely some kind of swamp fey. Though it might be demonic in origin, but that would likely be by it has no one agreed on form, simply, it doesn't have one base form and instead changes into whatever best suites with situation or seems the most interesting at the time.
As it stands the MRE is trying to set up a beach head in Oceania to learn more about the surrounding countries, but have not been able to accomplish much yet.
I'm no dragon fetishist, so maybe that's part of the fun.
If you were to believe artists renderings, dragons appear to induce... Stretching, to some degree.
Of course, I wouldn't put much stock in that.
If i were to go by just artistic renditions i would say unless you have four tires and at least a v6 you aren't going to get much attention from a dragon.
Near as we can tell, pretty much everywhere. They are still quite rare, but they have been spotted damn near in every country. Hopefully this might indicate a growing population, unfortunately, this might indicate a growing population.
Pretty much every intelligent dragon is racist. For example, Imperious dragons loath mountain dragons and will often attack on sight with no provocation.

The Creature Catalog I had as a child gave them human faces. The extent of Berenstain's knowledge of such things may be limited though.

pretty questionable hygiene, though

"No, it's a fey creature made of beetles, not a half snake woman. trust me"

However, the first rhino was described as a cross between a dragon and a horse. So, i tend to take each description with a grain of salt.
During an elementary(maybe?) book festival thing, I bought a book all about dragons
I left it at home.
I have this book and it is excellent.
melding we can combine knowledge bases on this topic
