okay let's just save the time of everyone involved and assume that I have seen this movie and now actively hate it instead of finding myself vaguely repulsed by it

Alright. Now we need to insult you on specifics.
One of the things I love about The Social Network is it offers so many new ways to insult people.
For example
"How could you not love Justin Timberlake's performance?"
was once off limits to reasonable people. Not anymore.

after letting my curiosity get the better of me and seeking out a youtube clip or two of the movie in question, I am now comfortable saying this quote is entirely accurate
remember the dude who insisted the Moon was hollow
Valentin Zeleznyov reared his head in a thread that I started so I consider him my gift to this forum
That thread is still the most significant thing I've ever done here
The social network was a movie about conflicting egos.
Not the Internet.
This is what I liked about the film. A good power play and story of brothers/friends in competition with one another usually impresses me and The Social Network delivered in that regard.
Surprisingly my mum really liked The Social Network, only because as a CFO she knows what it's like to be the one shoved around in business when you have the best of intentions.
The same way my sister loves Up in the Air and cried during it, being a lawyer who's had to travel and leave family so many times.

This was a really scary alt text to find by quoting
Like uncovering an ancient, terrifying message in the sand

The only hope left is to venture into the wild unknown, leaving this horrid festering wound to rot in the sun
I want my Facial Network.

Why I fear the ocean.
He was the bravest of them aaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllll
I personally hated the Social Network, but I loved the Kings Speech and True Grit
And Hugo which is pretty much an academy loved director making a kids movie that kisses the ass of the "golden" age of movies
I wouldn't have seen the social network if it wasn't for the consistanyly good reviews it got.
I can understand why people would just write it off.
Satans..... hints.....

too far
one should probably recognise the importance of it in our modern society
And a film which explores the social network that created THE social networking website is pretty interesting, for that reason
