ugh, I thought I'd forgotten the staircase one

The staircase one is by far the best SCP.

It's the only one that actually sent shivers up my spine.

Also, this talk about horror in entertainment is reminding me that I've never played Silent Hill 2.

I should rectify that when the HD collection comes out.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Hand_(nuclear_war)
Dead Hand (Russian: Система «Периметр», Systema "Perimetr") known also as Perimeter, is a Cold-War-era nuclear-control system used by the Soviet Union and might still be in use in Russia. An example of fail-deadly deterrence, it can automatically trigger the launch of the Russian ICBMs if a nuclear strike is detected by seismic, light, radioactivity and overpressure sensors

Weird radio signals don't start creeping me out until I remember the perhaps dozen cosmonauts who died slowly in soviet deathtraps.

That it's 1 am and you're terrified by something you thought about feeling is

    the BEST

    Love being scared

related I also have constant nightmares/sleep paralysis/hypnagognia and remember my dreams 90% or more of the time

If I could choose to get rid of the nightmares I wouldn't, however shitty they are to make it through at the time they are just so interesting

Are you willing to describe your nightmares to us? Do they inspire your artwork?

Back before there was a second season, I marathoned the first season and only later realized that I had stayed up 'til 5 a.m.

Then I tried to get some sleep.

    It was...slightly difficult.
