-Man, whats with all the hate on Thunderlane...
-Twilight's hair on a pegasus pony.
-I can't wait till someone puts lyrics on Fluttershy's training montage music
I predict a sudden increase in demand for Blossomforth figures.
The training montage was great.
I was worried Rainbow would come across as a jerk in this episode, but she's great!
5 Star episode right here, just hope she keeps her confidence.

Real good episode, REAL good message, and you are starting to see the lessons from the earlier episodes kicking in.
This ep also pretty much encapsulated my life, including my growth in the last few months, which is great. I hate those voices in my head, and I'm learning to ignore them - and doing awesome things and getting raises at work as a result.
Tara Strong is gonna be at the Emerald City Comic Con here in Seattle next weekend. To be honest, though, I'm more excited that also appearing are Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, and Kevin Conroy.
Tara will probably get mobbed, though.
The con Tara is going to in June only draws around a thousand people but the organizer is hoping her appearance will almost double that. I hope so considering he only charges 10 bucks total for both days and offers free parking.
Three people from Arkham City. All they'd need is a Mark Hamill and a Keith David and I'd be in auditory heaven.
May be the perfect time to get Tara to do a letter to Celestia from Harley Quinn.
but I'm disappointed that there was no scene where 'Roid pony has the tiniest wingpower

Also, I really appreciated the secondary message too, which they've done a couple times:
Just because you won't be the best/beat the records, doesn't mean you should give up. The competition is fun, but the work and responsibilities still need to get done.
It's a nice counterpoint to the 90s/2000s "Everyone's a winner" argument - sometimes you fail.
According to Ask Jappleack a new .mov is coming out soon, I think it's the Twilight one. Also, I'm still not entirely sure what is going on with the tumblr's story.
Something I didn't catch at first was that poor Thunderlane really WAS sick . . . and since he kept coming to practice, he infected those eight other ponies. It's the little touches like that that really make this show great.

Despite how busy we are, my boss & coworkers force anyone who is sick to go home, because we are all together in an enclosed space. I wish more work environments were like that.
Oh God.
Bodybuilding pony (possibly using steroids)....with tiny tiny wings.

and that mule again.
And Fluttertree, awesome way to start guys.
Also, Ditzy reading is the cutest thing.
Guess it only does business when timed as an Easter Bunny movie.
Ah, obligatory burning of the old film. Its the little things...

I'm a little disappointed though to see some other fillies training, but no Scootaloo. I guess it's confirmed that she can't fly.

Is that a reference to anything outside of the show?

Oh, cool. Haven't gotten into those works much.
I actually thought Firefly was a boy when I was a kid (not sure why), so this amused me greatly!
Fantastic episode, I think this may be my favorite from Season 2 so far.
Also, Diamond Tiara wants pictures! Pictures of Spider-Pony!

Christmas movies also tend to wait until next Christmas for a home release.
