You know what sucks? For some reason I went to sleep the other night wondering about first contact with aliens. And in the twilight of falling asleep I forgot I was just imagining it and it seemed like it had happened.
Now when I draw up the memory it feels like it should've been real, and then I realize it's not and I'm sad.

I slept for like 14 hours and I'm all groggy and disorientated.

Abd that place looks very white. Unless it's entirely coated in teflon you do not want to have to keep that clean.
Additional important question: the sound-proofing situation should not be ignored.

Looks great, though to an outsider that seems a bit expensive, I mean that is equal or more than if it had been located in Stockholm.
Of course if you get a good loan the prize doesn't matter that much since you can sell it again to make it back.

It is pretty common to paint the walls white when they sell it. Makes it look slightly bigger than it is on the pictures. Can always change it if you want to.
Usually at least

yeah prices are kinda silly here.
the idea behind buying instead of renting is that my dad feels like buying a place
so he'd get the loan and buy it, and I'd rent it from him for interest - his tax benefits

You can do a lot of things, but usually don't want to (or they end up costing a surprisingly amount of money even DIY).
But true, probably not worth worrying about - sound insulation is though.

white is a very, very, very common colour for walls to be. I doubt I could find something that wasn't white. Or if I'd want to.
and of course, I'd have to go up there and check it out before we might buy it, but I don't think sound-proofing would be that much of a problem.

Oh my god. Got uncapped internet today. Straight up streaming SC2 tournaments in 720+, commercials an all. It feels so wrong. It feels so right.
I lived on 24 m^2 for a year. It worked but it wasn't exactly pleasant, it becomes surprisingly hard to keep an area clear enough of the debris of living, so to speak, to have somewhere you can spread out and do your course work.
Just piles of newspapers, dishes, mail, and all the other odds and ends that somehow keep stacking up.

This is the type of thing you think before you experience it.
Bulgarian girl's apartment basically seems good on paper, but has an acoustic effect going on where sound travelling through the wall to the neighbors is somehow magnified compared to if you're in the same room (my hypothesis is the brick wall is actually basically completely enclosed and is acting as an amplifier by pushing everything down to a bass-key where it can finally escape).
The result is the neighbors complain if we watch TV in her living room at a normal volume past about 10. We thought her previous neighbors were blasting music, but it turned out they were playing it fairly quietly on their side, from the opposite end of the room.

I would have to find out what kind of neighbours. Other students would be best; because then just invite them over for a party if they're gonna be at home and you can blast music all you want

Right, now I'm showered and shaved too. It is also a gloriously sunny day here in London and about 10 C as well. I find it really helps to come back home from long holidays during the day, preferably with good weather (not that I have control of that), as it seems to lessen the disparity between the happy holidays and ordinary life

Don't mean I'm in love to-night.
that's very decently sized for a student place. Most have your sofa also being your bed.
Yeah, the student housing at my uni was 9m2.

collective?
as in, sharing bathrooms and kitchens and such?
Yeah, floor kitchen & bathroom. Fun times. I spent there a month then moved out.
Stop thinking like that.
Smart people.
too expensive, but really nice. Just a bit further up the mountainside than the previous one.
