i really liked Ender's Game as a kid. I don't feel like it holds up as well anymore, but dammit, as a bullied young kid that was all alone, I adored that book, beyond the confusing homophobia that I didn't know what it was at the time.
the holographic testicles screensaver that one guy had was really weird.

didn't he claim that Ultimate Tony Stark is like 90% grey matter and that's why he's so smart or some horseshit like that
American Gods
Neverwhere
The Sirens of Titan The Count of Monte Cristo
Empire of Blue Water The Devil in the White City
Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World
I stopped after Shadow of the Giant but it looks like he has one more of those, plus an upcoming one which will finally dovetail the Bean story with a resolution to Children of the Mind

i love that the in-universe explanation for Ultimate Iron Man is that it was like
an anime based on tony stark
and he hates it

wasnt there an implied thing between ender and his sister
its been years since i last read it but thinking back on it i'm almost positive it wasnt even subtext, but text
was weird but rose was what i was thinking of

nah there's no incest implications
valentine is just the only person in the world that ender actually cares about because she's the only one who doesn't either resent him or try to use him
so it's a fucked up relationship but that's because ender is fucked up

FUCK
YES
time travel
Got there early, talked to him for a few minutes before the event got started
This was before I knew about any of his more extreme views, and he certainly didn't come off as a crazy asshole at the time
But damn is that dude a crazy asshole
yeah it actually really irritated me when there was that backlash against him about the whole Shadow Complex thing
because he had nothing to do with the game
he had nothing to do with creating the setting
he literally had no creative role whatsoever outside of coming up with a plot for a loosely-related novel
but people were all "we should boycott shadow complex"
no, fuck you
you want to boycott Card just fucking boycott Card
there is a talented writer trapped somewhere in the warrens of sexual repression and madness that is Card's psyche
and
uh
Ultimate Iron Man
this covered both extremes so well I felt I needed peruse him no further
in the pile near my bed I have:
American Gods
Neverwhere
The Sirens of Titan
The Count of Monte Cristo
Empire of Blue Water
The Devil in the White City
Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World
The Count Of Monte Cristo

These are my picks
don't read neverwhere if you've got better things to read
yes
it was fucking garbage
there was a second one as well
I didn't bother
it's fun as hell to read especially for former precocious children but it is actually really bad
what's wrong with it
Haha did you even make it to Children of the Mind
I adore American Gods, but read Sirens of Titan
I still liked Speaker For The Dead
but Xenocide went off the deep end surprisingly quickly
it's been awhile since I've read it, so I might be misremembering
but I remember it being approachable and entertaining, while still asking some pretty important questions
and it was written in the late seventies so you know
he did basically predict tablet computers and wi-fi
I stopped after Shadow of the Giant but it looks like he has one more of those, plus an upcoming one which will finally dovetail the Bean story with a resolution to Children of the Mind
So far.
Satans..... hints.....

haha really?
i don't remember this at all
I finished Xenocide and gave up
I think I have a copy of Children laying around somewhere, but there is no way I will ever touch it
I'll probably read Ender's Game again before the movie comes out though
