I got really lucky: somehow it wound up being just the two kings on one side of the board, Medivh didnt cheat to make the enemy king strong, and when a piece finally came to help him it was far too late.
It seems harder to solo than it used to. Back before they nerfed the money bosses dropped, I was running that shit weekly on my shaman for like 3-4 months and would never have to try chess more than 3 times to win. Now I can't even get it down once.

How much did it pay before the nerf? I was always curious.
It was about 80 a boss, yeah. A typical full clear of kara, depending on how many greens and such dropped, would net anywhere between 600 to 1000 gold.
Oooh, look at all the colorful world markers! Oh, and we're marking everyone with target markers too. Pretty. I know, I will DAZZLE everyone with my awesome Rainbow Generator... Although it's never worked for me before, it always says "target not found" - but LET'S GIVE IT A SHOT!!!!!

Another question, does Enhancement use Fire Elemental on cooldown? It seems like not having Searing Flames + LL stacking up would be a net loss but I dunno

Which one? The cap for dual wielding attacks or the one for special attacks? Should I stop acquiring hit once I'm capped on specials? Halp

I guess of you can only cap one, go for hit for now?
And yeah, don't use Fire Elemental...the loss of the searing flame DOT and lava lash not doing nearly as much damage is a decent loss.
