Fire Explosions are probably increased in power when an appropriately specc'd Throw or Warp is used as the detonator, but even with the increased power it just got, it's still exactly as powerful as Warp/Throw detonations while being a lot harder to pull off.
I guess that particular usage of it is out the window except for happy accidents.
Playing a Human Sentinel, I get all the types of explosions all the time.
Now, it helps that when I play an HS I play as coverage and protection, so I'm flinging 1.5 second recharging Throws like mad... but it happens.
I hope somebody asks that panel what the deal was with the lazy photoshop Tali reveal.

I do like how they tried to give the fans as much as possible, even if it didn't always work out. Tali's picture, Jack's fate if you dawdle, and so on.
So I lagged out through the floor on a gold match as a Drell vanguard.
"Oh great," I thought. "Another wasted set of items."
But then vanguard heaven smiled down upon me, and I was granted with invincibility.
What followed was a complete and total slaughter of the Geth as they swarmed about me like flies to a carcass. At one point I was 'soloing' four pyros and two primes. My teammates weilding a Scorpion, Black Widow, and Carnifex cut them down without mercy. Even better, I could still pull spam! Yes, I nearly went blind from the jittery lag, biotic and tech explosions and unending fireballs, but it was a small price to pay for a near perfect gold run.

For the record, you can also get this bug as a nonvanguard if you're unlucky and die in the midst of a lot of lag.
Rubberbanding around while slinging out biotic explosions is pretty funny until you end up out of the map completely.

I only seem to have occasional problems getting Charge and Nova to actually activate.
