Just beat Gabriel Knight 2; the end of that game is so satisfying from a story perspective. Pretty much from "the hunt" up until the final moment is masterful.
It's a shame it is trapped in overly compressed, terrible FMV. I would love a remake of the entire series to modern standards at some point, but gk2 has a really impossible set f assets to do anything with.

Just beat Gabriel Knight 2; the end of that game is so satisfying from a story perspective. Pretty much from "the hunt" up until the final moment is masterful.

Also 90% of that game is green screen as long as they have the original uncompressed footage they can take updated pictures and replace the old crap.

I'm onto chapter 3 with it and really enjoy it a lot. The puzzles make a lot of sense to me and for what they are, the performances aren't bad. I especially think the various Germans (the lawyer and the hunt club members) are as good as anything you'd expect to see on TV.
