even if we don't murder the murderbot, we can probably just murder baidol, murderbot's partner.
this will either result in a deactivated murderbot, or MANY MANY MORE KILLS OH GOD.

Murdering the murderbot's partner would just make him angry and probably want to murder whoever murdered his partner. So good job, Lucedes for suggesting it! :^:

Kudos to you, Langly. I just pulled from the magic box.
My bad! Not trying to mislead anyone. Just trying to add something of substance as opposed to my usual junk haha
in general the factions have the strongest roles, which murderbot can more easily kill. If he kills randomly it might be a village advantage because he 'levels everyone out'. But I fear that let loose he will be controlled (hello primaphorior) by those factions and slaughter the village going for most kills.

Besides, you killed me last game as murderbot when it was in your advantage not to so THERE

So why are we assuming that roles haven't changed at all since last time?

Because apparently big roles are "sticky" in these games. Which means we just kill all the big names from earlier games
How is he a village asset? If Munkus is truthful he's a serial killer that is working together with unknown neutrals, there's nothing in that package that should make the village feel good.

Which, to be fair, makes Rend a target worth eliminating early, if possible. I'm not crazy about keeping Murderbot around for long, but based on previous games, killing him off is going to leave Rend, Gumpy and whoever has inherited the other big roles with near-total impunity. And (again, based on the prior phallakinetic games I played) their win conditions have at best a tangential relationship to ours.
Basically what I'm saying is: we are the 99%, and murderbot should occupy the carcasses of the 1% for a day or two BEFORE we vote him off.

If Munkus is telling the truth, he kills the mafia and one of the two subfactions, which aligns with our win condition.
If he is not and kills off lots of villagers, we vote him out in a few days.
I would call him more of a force of nature than an asset, but one we could use.
A request: people are welcome to use proboards for orders if they're in a group, but I'd still prefer that The Supercomputer account recieves a PM with a link to said order thread on a night. It just makes it far easier to action things around about vote-close!

IN ORDER TO MAKE THE VILLAGE FEEL GOOD, MURDERBOT MUST FIRST CALIBRATE ITS EMPATHY CHIP.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I have been convinced to switch my vote to Wiet, and not just because of the hilarity of keeping him around. I think having a non-mafia murder machine taking shots could be a good thing, at least early on. If it turns out to be a mistake, we can always vote him out later.

I expect Murderbot to be getting a retaliatory strike from Rend tonight, anyway.

Will Murderbot start to ask about relationship advice soon ;-)?
The non-mafia murder machine is still more likely to kill villagers at least early on, I think the worry is how quickly. More haphazard kills early on make it harder for people to network. Networking is good. Sticking with the plan of keeping him around for at least a day. Wiet is as good as any day 1 is going to be, but wouldn't jump all over someone for not thinking that the giant murder bot might not be the best thing to have around.

Actions are performed instantly with the exception of certain things that specify otherwise (like some healing abilities). So if a guard-equivalent protects a player, that player will be protected for that night even if the guard winds up with a photon bolt through the eye socket- unless otherwise stated. Likewise, attackers who attack a player will still contribute to the total attack power sent towards their person even if they get killed themselves.
The vote is untouchable. It canβt be blocked, redirected, or nullified. If someone is vote-killed, they die.
The vote does not trickle down. If the target of the vote is killed as well as vote-killed, they're just extra dead.

When did we get access to Munkus' role PM?
This is a village versus mafia game. Throw in all the factions and weird powers you want, the mafia is, and always will be, the greatest threat.

If I was Murderbot's partner, I would be the happiest phalla player alive. Alas, it is not to be.

people sure seem a bit casual about going 'eh so what if he kills half of us? we can vote him out later'
also Im not convinced that rend is the renegade/something bad
and from there i am not convinced that munkus is exactly what he claims to be either
Absurd.
Not that I've seen just yet
from last thread, though:
