    Amon'kul flails about as the gunk clogs his nostils again. He dives back into the water in an attempt to rinse the foul stuff away.

    Snarling as the Gloom covers him once again, Kothargix spits out a rushed spell as he backs away and into the algae covered water to wash the gloom off.

    Much to everyone's suprise, the ice ball hits! A frozen snowflake pattern briefly appears as Nostorralks scales freeze and crack, painfully spasming the muscles underneath. Its quite pretty.

    Bringing his snout above water again, Kothargix remembers his ghostly posse and sends them in to swarm over the dragon, intangible feather dusters somehow tangibly dusting away.

    Actions:
    Standard: Dragonfrost vs Fort = HIT! (barely) for 29 Cold damage. Kothargix also gains +1 attack until EONT and 3 THP (Arcane & Draconic Spellfury)
    The Cybeman takes 10 acid & Big A takes 20 acid splash damage (ouch, sorry!)
    Move: Take a Dip in K3
    Minor: Send Custodians 4 squares north to D2, which causes some level of necrotic damage?
    Save vs. Gloom = PASS

    Alénthian nods his thanks to the Shaman, then his armour blurs, blending in with the writhing knot of cleaning spectres.

    Suddenly he is before the dragon, thrusting at the creature's throat with his greatspear. The burning effects of the acid pain him however, and the blade's tip barely scratches Nostorralk's scales. The Eladrin then steps back, hoping his armour's illusion protects him.

    (It won't with that acid all over him.)

    Feeling even more whoosy at this point from the debilitating acid, Evanche nonetheless sees the plight of the rest of her party in front of her. While mildly annoyed at being distrated from her efforts at sending this dragon to the netherworld, she pulls Alenthian through a beam of light next to her. "Stop dying and get up," she yells, a booming voice only audible to the heavily wounded warrior. This "pick-me-up" reinvigorates his spirit just as another beam of light whisks the warrior back into the fight.

    Actions:
    Free Action: Spend 1 surge to negate the damage to the Seed of War from Kothargix's turn.

    Start of Turn: Take 10 Acid Damage.

    Minor Action: Teleport Alenthian to J7.

    Standard Action: Restorative Word on Alenthian. Alenthian can spend 2 healing surges and make a saving throw.

    Minor Action: Teleport Alenthian back to J4.

    Tiefling magic is something of a strong pick-me-up.

    Unable to disentangle himself from the tiefling, Nostorralk can only watch in horror as the ghostly gardeners wend their inevitable way toward him. So consumed by terror is he that he ignores the slayers' stinging strikes and psychic assaults and when the promenade of poltergeists finally reach him he flails in wild desperation with tooth and claw.

    Unfortunately Amon'Kul is clobbered left and right as the dragon's blows pass through the spectres without slowing, not to mention doused in the buckets of hissing black blood that pour off the beast like sweat.

    vs Amon'Kul- Miss! for 15 acid damage.

    Nostorralk:

    Kothargix, seeing thier resident bruiser in trouble, hustles over as fast as his short legs can carry him. All the while he is rummaging in his bag of holding for an old amulet that may help the tiefling.

    Reaching his ally, gagging at the stench of burning and bubbling flesh, Kothargix slips the Periapt over Amon'Kuls horns and activates its protective powers. The globs of acid still sticking to Amon'Kuls skin and clothing whither away into a powder, easily brushed away.

    Actions:
    Move: Move to G2
    Minor: Dig out Periapt of Cascading Health +2
    Standard: Activate Periapt and end Ongoing Acid Damage(? - Or whatever @Nealneal wants to end)

    And if I still can, Kothargix will order the custodians to swarm all over the dragon and dig those q-tips in real hard.

    Zedath quickly dismisses Mazdrah and summons the sand spirit next to Amon'Kul, slightly bolstering the tiefling. "I'm sorry I can't do more to mend your wounds right now, friend," he apologizes.

    A flick of the wrist from the shaman sends Mazdrah into the fighter, covering the tiefling's body in a stony sheath. As quickly as the spirit disappears, Mazdrah reappears, pelting Nostorralk with tiny shards of rock.

    Actions:
    Minor: Dismiss Mazdrah.
    Move to Minor: Summon Mazdrah in F2. Amon'Kul gains 4 THP from Spirit of Vigor.
    Standard:Granite Armor vs Nostorralk (32): 1d20+20+2+1 28 2d6+9 13
    Memory of a Thousand Life Times: 1d6 6 makes that hit.

    Elemental Spirit Adept gives everyone a +1 on attack rolls vs the Dragon until the end of my next turn. Amon'Kul gains Resist All 6 until then as well.

    His khopesh hilt-deep in the dragon's skull, Amon'Kul's vision turns black- and not just because of the brackish blood he is now doused in. With an iron will and steely grip he steadies himself on the buried blade, stumbling only as the beast collapses.

    After a moment's reprieve the ghosts seem to realise what has happened. Dustpans and trowels are flung into the air in celebration as the spirits begin to meld together into a fuzzy ball of light. The slayers are forced to shield their eyes as the apparition brightens and expands, engulfing the room in a flash.

    Blinking as their sight returns, the slayers are surprised to find themselves in a pristine silver room. What sorcery was this? Banishment? Teleportation? The tang of magic is in the air- but no, there had been no transportation. There had apparently been a room under all that muck- albeit a relatively bare one. Evanche and Alenthian both recognise the symbol of Bahamut above a spartan shrine against the far wall, upon which sits a silver dragon with it's forearms outstretched.

    After much chin-scratching and checking for traps, the slayers decide to place the soul-gem into the silver dragon's claws. It slots into place with a satisfying click and after a moment the statuettes eyes light up. A shrill voice echoes through the room.

    "I'm Bahamut and I'm so much better than you! Ner ner treasure is bad and mortals are great!"

    The thing's head spins and whizzes as it speaks, while it slowly lifts the bauble over it's head. It spouts a few more blasphemies regarding Bahamut before the front of the shrine pops open and a modest pile of loot tumbles out. Once the slayers outfit themselves the voice rings out again, this time in a deep timbre.

    "ASCEND?"
    Welcome to level 16! Get your loot and update your stats, because you've got a choice to make.

    You can either rest up here to get some of those surges back or head on to the next fight.

    Zedath spies a ring with a decorative silver inlay that he claims as his own. As he slips the ring on, the deva notices a jade trinket shaped like a tiny tree in the pile of treasure. He picks up the talisman, and without warning, it crumbles into dust. The particles swirl in his hand for a moment before hurtling towards his nostrils in a rapid motion. Zedath's head jerks back, and for an instant, he smells the scent of pine and tastes cool dirt before his vision returns to normal.

    "That was...unexpected. On the other hand, I just came out of a pillar, so what do I know?" the shaman chuckles. "I do feel...energized by that thing, whatever it was."

    Looking around the room, he turns to the group and asks, "Well, what now? Shall we rest, or press on to whatever other dragons need killing in this place?"

    Evanche takes a moment (or several) to recover within the muck that is this creature's lair, until said lair is magically snatched from her and she instead stands looking around somewhat irritated a clean room adorned with the Silver Dragon. With no corpse to loot, she instead straightens and whispers a silent prayer to the Avenger for a less...filthy reptile to send to the fiery pits for their sins.

    Nevertheless, she strides over to the vault of loot that has been provided and removes a crimson shield and silver tabard, admiring their magics for a second before slotting the shield on her arm and the tabard around her waist. "They all have their own proclivities, for better or worse," Evanche retorts flatly, "I would opt for a pause before the next victim is revealed and sentenced, at the very least to dispense with all this muck. I would prefer a more civilized condemned, but these beings never do seem to rise above the level of filthy animal."

    "Ascend?" Alénthian asks in return, his brows knitting in his annoyance. "ASCEND?" the Eladrin repeats, as heavenly wings of light erupt from his back, their angry beating lifting him to his tiptoes, eventually leaving him hovering a few inches from the ground. "It appears Correllon chooses to elevate me," he then muses, distracted by this evolution. He drifts to the pile of loot, finding a pair of brilliant blue gems to enhance his bracers of KILL EVERYTHING, and an elegant circlet inscribed in the style of the nature-loving wood elves. He concentrates, and they briefly manifest a majestic set of ethereal antlers, tines glinting with deadly promise, before settling back to inertness.

    "These will do. But rest is required before pressing on. I feel that my art will come to an end if I must exert myself further without recovering from... all this," he says, gesturing around at the now clean area. He grimaces. "All that once was, rather."

    "I'll take these. They will remind me of what can be lost in the pursuit of power," he says looking over at Evanche. "That snake took a lot out of me, I could do with some rest and bandaging."

    Kothargix, reluctantly parting with the gem eagerly dives into the loot pile. While shoving his bottomless bag full of gold and gems and other assorted treasures, he comes across a fine pair of fingerless leather gloves which he slips onto his claws as well as the same tabard as Evanche. It seems Bahamut has only one clothing supplier. Frowning slightly at the lack of useful treasures he could employ at this stage, Kothargix shrugs and slips the tabard over his head and belts it secure.

    Perfectly convinced that the dragon motif has a tinge of blue to it and is not entirely silver, and equally convinced that he is wearing the tabard much better than any pointy eared Eladrin could, Kothargix proceeds to collect his customary dragonfang souvenir and dances his customary jig.

    The silver dragon's question is left unanswered while the slayers take time to heal their wounds and catch up on their rest. As they compare scars, tell stories and dance customary jigs the statuette remains thankfully silent.

    After approximately 6 hours a shriek interrupts Amon'Kul's story about the battle of Tilburn Keep.

    "I'll take that as a yes then!"

    The slayers are barely able to keep their feet when the floor begins to rumble and the walls fall away. Suddenly they are in the open air and it takes a moment to realise that they are rising, at breakneck speed, alongside the mountain. Before any thought can be given to how the platform is being raised it slams to a hault at the foot of a crumbling stairway carved from the mountainside. A five-headed dragon statue holds an eerie vigil before them.

    Slayer-senses tingling, our heroes rise to their feet and ready their weapons in time for a blast of air from the spindly wings of an elder green dragon. Alighting on a pile of rubble near the statue, it regards the group with a pale eye.

    "More souls for the chaining, hmm? Oh but still clothed in flesh- the master can't have that oh no oh no." A flap of wings and a snap of jaws follow, but Alénthian is too nimble for the ancient creature. He is, however, left to curse the stains of poison on his new bracers- an outcome more dire than any wound!

    Actions:
    Instinctive flyby: Tilvanik flies from K6-M8 to J10-L12, via J13-L15, and makes a Bite attack vs Alenthian.
    27 vs AC = miss! 10 poison damage.

    Kothargix shakes off the spins after the wild ride on the platform and immediately focuses in on the statue of Tiamat. The statue of the Bitch Queen was usually never a good omen, even her followers would be hard pressed to argue that point. You know, 'cuz she's a bitch.

    Also, he notices the green dragon trying to eat them and quickly enacts one of his magics. This one grants his allies some level of protection against any particular type of damage that a dragon can dish out. He also scurries towards the next pile of rubble, hoping to take cover by the fallen pillar. He levels his weapons at the dragon as he runs, but the Dragonfrost spell goes wide.

    The kobold's eyes, all too familiar with the magicks of dragons, notice the hint of an eldritch aura surrounding the statue. While the aura itself does not seem dangerous, the five headed dragon at it's centre reeks palpably of evil power- the kind which can animate stone in the blink of an eye.

    Evanche, meanwhile, has locked eyes with the other dragon on the stairway and finds herself pacing steadily toward it. Her iron will breaks the hold just in time for Tilvanik's massive jaws to snap shut above her head. Thwarted once again he vents his rage on the distracted Kobold, this time rending his target's armor with ease.

    "Skin and bones, skin and bones! Hows about something a little meatier?" The dragon's squawk is more akin to carrion than the beasts of legend.

    "What is this FILTH?" the Eladrin shrieks, before narrowing his eyes at the ancient green wyrm. He sets his jaw in determination, then takes to the air with the ornate weapon's tip leading his flight.

    Alénthian's newfound wings expand, flare, and then glow brightly, small glowing feathers falling from them as they beat strongly, filling the air with their sound. He screams a word in an ancient tongue, a prayer to Correlon perhaps, or a hymn in his glory. Or maybe, just maybe a filthy Feywild curse. The spear strikes true, and with an almighty thunderclap, Tilvanik is thrown back, rolling a couple of times before coming to a stop. The beast sees stars, while its wound shines with a divine light. The edges putrefy and fester nastily, and that stench begins to creep towards the group.

    Oh look. How close is he to that statue of Tiamat, again?

    Almost as soon as the eladrin's strike hits home one of the statue's arms begins to move. Spectral chains materialise in it's claws and lash out with whiplike speed, though even this is too slow- the flying avenger is already elsewhere.

    Dust and rubble fly in Tilvanik's wake as he stands. Rows of twisted, razor sharp teeth twinkle beneath pupil-less eyes.

    "Seems they're attach to their skins. But why? You'd be so pretty little elf, dressed only in chains..."

    A rush of air and the beast is airborne again. Before he can react the eladrin is trapped in it's jaws, with only the haft of his spear and the kobold's magicks to protect him. The dragon retreats, leering once more.

    Throughout the continuing battle, from off to the side where she is safe for the moment, a tiefling is biding her time and beginning to activate a number of magics. First her form appears to waver as a cloud of dust and dirt kicks up around her, a desert tornado were there any sand present resulting in Evanche looking almost like a mirage. Then she disappears completely as the swirling vortex moves nearer to the dragon, the flurry of dust obscuring the tiefling to the point that she may have vanished altogether. But that theory is quickly dispelled as a booming voice echoes from within the cloud, scattering dust, dirt, and small stones as it slams into the side of Tilvanik's thick hide, "COWER before the sight of your executioner and REPENT your ways as you witness your final moments! DISOBEY and face a fiery torment as your brood are wiped from the face of existence, a death so complete as to remove any trace of your FILTHY kind from the face of this planet. Here, come, look upon your future and DESPAIR."

    With a gesture, a vision is displayed in all its gruesome horror to those that look in the direction of the preaching Evanche. Blood and gore drip from a multitude of wounds on innumerable dragons, all in the same colour and general shape of Tilvanik standing before you. Each roil in pain and torment as denizens of the fiery hells pick apart their bodies, torment and souls, and deliver agony that seems unending. Tilvanik himself recoils but is unable to turn his attention from the vision of blood to come, while the rest of the party possesses willpower enough to realize that this vision is in fact just a vision and not reality. That is...except Zedath, to whom the visions are not of a dragon's future torment, but of the deva's own painful demise. A thousand faces of himself wail in varying degrees of anguish and it is all that he can do to tear himself away and focus on the battle at hand.

    While the dragon thrashes about in terror at wounds both physical and existential, the five-headed statue demonstrates it's base cunning and lashes out at the distracted eladrin.

    Once again ghostly chains lash out, this time catching on Corellonian with wicked barbs and coiling around him as if prehensile. Though they cause some physical discomfort, Alenthian can feel that they have begun to leech at his very soul.

    Coughing at the poison seeps into his body despite his protection, Kothargix pops out again from behind the pillar again. This time, he has grown decidedly uncomfortable to be around.     "No! Not yet! I can still serve you Master!" it shrieks plaintively at the visions. The cry turns into a dreadful hissing followed by a gout of poisonous fumes which flood the stairway before Tilvanik.

    Though Evanche covers her face in time, the deva is too distracted by her visions of doom to react. While Zedath begins to hack and cough from the poison, the dragon's neck is laid out before Amon'Kul...

    Zedath stumbles backwards as he hacks and coughs, attempting to rid himself of the poison. He raises his totem and croaks out something unintelligible. Despite the incomprehensibility of the shaman's command, Mazdrah needs no verbal instruction to continue hammering away at the dragon's scaly hide. The spirit's tenacity spurs Alénthian into movement to a better position in the room.

    The deva completes several hand gestures, and a small gust of wind blows past his face, clearing away the poisonous gas.
