Pretty sure Superman is hitting Lex with his heat vision in the trailer. Everybody seems to be fighting their enemy in the trailer, except Wonder Woman. She appears to be fighting Harley.

Actually, I was thinking that besides classic costumes as unlockable (or dlc) for all the characters, I'm wondering if some of them will get their Black Lantern costumes as alternates.

I'm sort of the same. I mean... this game looks awesome regardless, but were it not for Batman and his cast of characters, I really wouldn't care too much about DC.

I hope they do something different with Luther - I really didn't care for him in MKvsDC, just wasn't much fun to play as. I'm willing to bet we get Bane in there just because he's in the new movie and even though this will be next year awareness of the character would be high.

Swamp Thing could be really really awesome though as would Animal Man. The nice part about DC is that once you get past that primary group of 8 superheroes you can get into some fairly weird stuff quickly. With Marvel it feels like you have a much bigger check list of "must haves" before getting to the more fun wacky characters.

Doomsday would be pretty awesome actually. Or Cyborg Superman.

But yea, if you could see my collection of Superman movies/tv shows, you would see my love for the character. I probably have most of the Superman related media out there. :P

Anyone a bit dissappointed that this is going for the dark and gritty style? I know it's popular and all, but we've seen it all before, and given that we've got over the top stuff like Batman punching people into buildings, Superman punching people into space and Harley Quinn taking on invincible superhumans, it just feels like a brighter, comic or cartoon style like something out of The Brave and the Bold would have made a better fit.

Plus it would give us a perfect excuse to put in 'OUTRAGEOUS!!' Aquaman and The Music Meister as characters.

Well...I mean its Midway so you shouldn't really expect that.

Though, I would say in a sense Midway stuff ends up being even cheesier because it is presented in a somewhat serious manner.

Granted, lots of it boils down to "Not bloody/gritty enough!" which is just dumb, but there does seem to be some gameplay issues.

He seems to be working with all the same knowledge we have. He admittedly didn't play it. At best he has seen some extra game play footage from a game that is about a year out. Almost all of his complaints can be boiled down to "this game isn't Mortal Kombat," and the game play looks stiff. Who cares about the first, and it is too early to tell the second since no one has had a hands on experience.

Unfortunately, this game seems to have a bit too dark of a tone for some of the sillier characters to feature prominently. Though, we still more or less know nothing, so I guess we'll wait and see.

I'm having a hard time figuring out the story though. Does the preview mean that all the heroes are evil now. I'm not sure I'll like that. Then why fight the villains?

I originally just read her solo series because I had read Ms. Marvel's recent series(which I liked) and wanted to keep it going on powerful female superhero theme. And I liked it.

I am not a huge fan of the Wildstorm characters, but they'd fit right into this game i'd imagine.

I think more than anyone though i'd like to play a game with Robotman from Doom Patrol.

- Batman has this awesome attack where he can send little robot bat things at you
- Superman has an awesome introduction
- The Flash does that move from JLU where he runs around the world and delivers a punch
- The extreme gore of MK is being replaced by over-the-top cartoon violence
- Theres a stage with a tele porter that lets you sneak up behind your enemy
