If, when this game comes out in the states, this thread does not get WAAAAAY more attention by more Penny Arcaders, then I will be really upset.
Yet further, it'd be kind of cool if there was a better penalty for the death of your guys than just washing up on shore or dying rarely. Maybe having them out of commission for quite some time.

Man, when you'll get upgraded grunts that cost 1000 (I refuse to add the utterly useless extra three zeros at the end) you'll start to feel the pain when five of them die and you have to retrain them, believe me.
Wait the freakin minute.

You can use your own guys to break the rock, that reveals the fork, in the fight? I thought you had to hit him against the rock to break it! Now that a think about it I feel so dense. Theres even like arrows motioning towards it when the screen goes dark. Usually I just use the time to move my healthiest guys to the front. And the freakin god memo!
6 kingdoms down. Everyone is complaining I act too kingly now, and they hate me On the plus side, holy shit the little guy grew a sweet beard and tache.
Still no magician, I have every upgrade except that rare armour now.

The beard is when you lose health (unless you have permanently gained it now). Short and brown for two health, long and white for one.
Having just rescued Princess Ferne, I'm... even more surprised the game managed to scrape by with a 7+ rating.
I mean, honestly.
Whew, for a second I thought you were saying you were surprised the game got 7/10 or above in reviews. Forgot about your crazy ratings system over there.

An explanation for those not in Europe?
She's... surprisingly sexually provocative.
More innuendo that I would've though would slip past.
Incidentally, having trouble finding the Doctor now I've got the hospital. Anyone managed it?
Nope I can't find him either. There's also all the alcohol and encouragment to get drunk in the jolly kingdom, hasn't it been given a teen rating in the us?

Apparantly, which doesn't surprise me at all.
Some other message board spoke of finding him outside the hospital at six- I'll have to try that. At least the knight was easier to get.
I've got the rare armour but I couldn't find the knight either. I think I'll just grab the last god piece and finish the game, the 3 special classes can wait for a hard playthrough.

Knight's easy.
The armour comes to life at night- you should find him around the town square when it vanishes from beside the throne
Ah, I was looking around the military district. Should I be trying to finish all the princess quests? I have no idea what the rewards are, I'm just wondering if I complete the ship and stuff the game finishes. Maybe there's a new game+? That would be awesome.

I'm only going by other websites here, but they'd suggest no new game +, and apparantly only Ferne's quest has much of a reward.
Pity, though.
Just came here to profess my love for this game. It's one the best gaming experience I've had since Super Mario Galaxy. The world has been clamoring for a game that depicts the life of a medieval king as seen through the eyes of a young child.
I love the humor and all the little details in the game from actually seeing my subjects doing the excercises I decreed to attending the funerals they hold for their fallen comrades. The developers even had the balls for some hefty subject matter for a game that looks like it just robbed a candy store. My constant princess-rescuing has gotten my advisors and subjects worried about my polyg...uh...loving nature(actual quote!) and I have cursed my advisors for siding with religion when science is clearly the answer.
Still have some questions about it though. I've just saved princess 7 and I still haven't found that damn doctor that should be running around my kingdom. I've tried staking out the hospital for days but the fucker must've had the week off or something. I don't even know what it is he does, and I don't even care, I just gotta catch 'em all.
Assuming you needed enough dudes to be taller than him at the end, then I made it by one guy. Had full party until the final straight where they loved to throw themselves over cliffs rather than follow nicely in evade formation around the electric whiskers.
I had a brief break for Plants Vs Zombies and Blood Bowl distraction, but I'm back to it now. It cannot be said enough how fantastic this game is. And so full of content as well! If you Americans don't give it the sales it deserves there will be hell to pay. Do we know how well it's doing in Europe?

This puts most recent releases I can think of to shame.

I feel ashamed.
Pity everyone's top hats vanish when I call them into the guard.

More than a month away... BOOOOO

Does make a certain amount of sense, I suppose.

When the princesses do "princess talk" their topic is: your plans for armageddon. The spacey chick responds: "Hitch a ride... With the volgons[sic]"
This game is awesome

Also, bring Miners and Lumberjacks and Hunters and Carpenters, if you haven't done it by now.
Lumberjacks can be dropped, but they'd make it easier.
One of the random names for the Little King is Zaphod.
This game has so many awesome little references...
Like the Monty Python one when you first address a lumberjack.
Knight's easy.

Not especially well, I don't think.
Mind you, I haven't seen a single advert, so doubt that helped.
Gamestop and Amazon are both showing July 21.
I think I'm going to have to get this, myself.
