not only did I intern in both anime and manga for over four years in highschool, I've also been to japan.

aw, you're right! i could have sworn there was some draft of my post that threw a qualifier in there, but i guess it ended up not making the cut.
but please know that asexuals are never far from my mind. especially since i want a very special one in particular to grade my wardrobe one day.

Or they'll consider any sexual urge to be internally dysfunctional. We shouldn't forget that a lot of the diagnosis of disorders is based on the mean normality and legitimization of a given culture. People are perfectly entitled to define their own starting point and delineate disorders outward from there.
Aggression and violence are pretty damn big in the human mind. Our legal system is largely built around preventing people from killing or otherwise hurting one another. Everywhere where the law is weak, violence prospers. Legitimizing violence as the proper answer to disputes (if we accept the hypothesis that the media we consume affects us as people) encourages it and escalates a whole bunch of primal emotions (such as anger, greed, or pride) into full-blown crime.
Furthermore, if we consider the significant correlation between the availability of porn and the reduction in sexual assaults the notion that it actually promotes them becomes ridiculous.
The reason people are against freaky porn is because its icky and weird .
