If you activate OD in the middle of a combo, or activate it via a cancel, you have less time in OD mode. Also, the length of time is proportional to your health.
Other changes, like the Guard Primers being removed, are interesting. I'm not sure whether I like the new Crush Trigger system or not.

Also, I liked the Guard Libra system from the first game. But that was mainly because Rachel was super good at breaking your guard with that system.
At least she now has her hair down.

Seen a lot of good Azraels and Bullet seems pretty autopilot so far, but I can't wait to see a good Amane. Something tells me most of them are underutilizing the drills.

Azrael gets extensions to some of his moves if he hits you while you have a weak point on.

Seriously, I do so much good work with his drills. So much chip and damage and they have such good hitboxes.
I feel like his Cs are a trap for people right now. They are pretty easy to avoid and punish and Amane does not have the health to be eating counter hits. People need to be using his ground drills, drive, and crush trigger more. His Cs are probably best as combo filler. I think people want him to be a zoner but I don't think he really is.
Well, I will be getting to put my money where my mouth is in a few hours so, we will see.

I didn't realize that. That means good things for Arakune players and bad things for everyone else.
Arakune got changed up a good bit. Now every bug he summons while in curse mode consumes some of the curse gauge (some consume more than others). So, his curse combos don't last as long anymore. Of course, when he is in OD his curse mode does not end even if the curse gauge empties to zero, so, that should make for some scary combos.
He has a pretty neat new move where he can summon a spider that can drop down quickly from the ceiling. He can call it to three different locations, but no matter what the summon animation is the same so the enemy doesn't know. The spiders give curse on hit or block, despite being called with a, b or c.
So, that means no longer being put in 10 second blockstrings as he mixes you up over and over again...which is a good thing in my book.
He also got some of his links removed. Arakune players are QQing but I think honestly he is probably in a good place balance wise and less binary then before. I mean, Arakune is still going to be an asshole, because that is his design, but, he should be less of an abusive asshole.
But who knows, everything is early and there is always the potential of someone finding something that blows the game wide open.
