Twelve years ago some rad dudes from Australia called The Avalanches released an album called "Since I Left You". It had this on it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eS3AZ12xf6s

and this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=UUxKS_QjhJAfV2hgLYxxGkWA&feature=player_detailpage&v=aUyKdaNKHzo

and it was made from like a jillion samples and it was fucking amazing.

Today they finally released a new track from their upcoming second album (we hope). It's called Cowboy Overflow Of The Heart and you can listen to it here (you'll need to register first). It's more poetic than musical but still AVALANCHES.

I'm a big fan of electricity. It's awesome music to jog to. Since I Left You, is a really good album. I haven't heard the other single version. I'm excited if this means a new album will be coming out.

    Mine was Ace of Base.

Which is hilarious because I did not like pop music at all, but my mom wasn't really keen on me buying my other choice, which was Nirvana's In Utero.

My friend once got stuck in a bush but instead of telling me where he was he just sang that song over and over on the phone until I could Marco Polo my way to him.

No, but I expect that given how hard it is to navigate at night drunk wearing shades, probably Corey Hart has also ended up stuck in a bush or two

Bon Jovi Crossroads was my first CD. My parents got it for me for Christmas, and asked the record store clerk what the best album to get a 13 year old boy was.

I played the shit out of that CD.

The opening to Cannonball is probably my favorite song beginning of all time. The rest of the song it great too, but those first few seconds are just iconic.

Wut. Even if you hate Nirvana, Ace of Base are terrible. Which brings me to my first album buy. Which was a record (I think I was somewhere around 7 years old, leave me alone). From a certain Craig MacLachlan... At least my first cassette (about a year later) was better? Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet. No? That's also terrible? Okay.

At least my first CD was and still is great - the Chemical Brothers Surrender.

This could not possibly have been 12 years ago. I have not owned this album since I was 19. This cannot be true.

Oh wait it wasn't released here until 2001 wait fuck that's still 11 years.
