I consider gen 5 to be the best generation of pokemon in basically all respects and was talking about how the thread pre-release was full of people making boasts but in the end only about a half-dozen people trained up teams and actually used them

but I don't even know is that some kind of a weird insult or something
oh no i was just making a joke because he really likes morrowind and werewolves in Elder Scrolls games I don't know about his pokepinions

    speaking of smogon

they are having a bit of trouble because

1.3d models are going to make their simulators difficult to update to gen 6
2.3ds games are apparently resistant to info dumping, so a lot of information they need is going to be difficult/impossible to get

    it's a bit amusing

Last time I booted up SS I had a shiny typhlosion, saved in front of Claire, all my team was at level 30 or something equally inappropriate?

I do not remember starting that game at all.

netbattle used to have Colosseum models, it's not that hard to just get a flat .jpg of them

info dumping is a bigger deal but folks are making progress on that every day

    1. Cell shading of the models from a fixed angle + decent sprite artists in the community

conquest is good, I would even say very good

the "main campaign" is an extremely extended tutorial, however, so it will appear very simplistic until you get to the "post game"

overall is is very much like FFTA with pokemon which is rad enough for dan, so maybe it's rad enough for you?

it's failing is that it's way too easy once you learn how it works, and there isn't much depth

if you love both tactics games and pokemon you will love it though

I would recommend Conquest to anyone who liked Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. It's not perfect but it's definitely enjoyable.

I spent so much time linking random dudes with their perfect Pokemon that I didn't bother actually beating the story.

Disgaea is really simple unless you are a masochist who likes grinding mobs for hours to see the super secret characters you'll never use.

I guess I meant simple and easy? XCOM is basic but hard. It's a lot harder to beat XCOM than Disgaea.

Disgaea is really simple unless you are a masochist who likes grinding mobs for hours to see the super secret characters you'll never use.

the problem with this is that my brain can't shut it out

my mind will nag me for not optimizing my troops

and then I have to quit before I have an aneurysm

I do the same thing for the most part.

I'm playing FFT: War of the Lions right now and I have not stopped grinding at all, really.

I'm in Act 2 with people all level 20-25, everybody is either on their way to my ideal job or at it, I have a master Geomancer and a pretty much master Dancer.

Munkus I remember we had lots of awesome battles in Gen 4. They I beat the main story in Gen 5 and there was no auto-leveling to 100 for online play and I just lost all effort to do the post game in gen 5 after so thoroughly completing it in Gen 4.

    I tried La Pucelle tactics

it requires some grinding to make it past certain parts
I didn't jive well with me

FFTA 1 and 2? You don't need to put that much effort in.

Hi, this is me, except I didn't even beat gen 5. Because at that point, the carrot at the end of the stick was getting to use all these cool pokes in online battles.

And fuck no I am not leveling those fuckers to 100.

    Steel Gym still undefeated, yo.

My ramza is a Dragoon, and to make the dancer I had to spend a decent amount of time making that lady a Dragoon.

I think I'm gonna make her end up a Ninja? I can't remember anymore.

My party is probably gonna end up a Dragoon, Samurai, Dancer (Maybe a Ninja?), Bard, and Summoner
