I appreciate everyone's concerns about newer posters, but from their defence in here and through my own poking I feel they are okay to sign up. I'll let their actions speak for themselves.

Here's my Amazon wishlist. feel free to stray from it completely.
Games over steam are welcome. I recently got X-COM and Civ 5 bundled with that. I have a ps3 but I don't play it too much. I have God of War 3, Shadow of the Colossus, Little Big Planet, Red Dead Redemption, and like one other game for it.
I'll be honest, I've only just recently looked at the forums. Although I read the comic for years, I never really felt the need to join the forums, but I figured maybe that was a good idea since I can actually afford PAX East this year, and wanted to potentially make friends before the expo. So I understand your wariness, but I signed up because I'd like to be more involved with forum-things. And like Calica said, if I get cut for the list on account of being pretty unknown I understand.

No there is no logic to that drez you brain is short circuiting
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.

I'd just like to say that while the 22nd is a fine cut-off date, there are sales all this week. It would be super nice if everyone could get their info to Father Christmas sooner rather than later.
I'm aware of concerns like yours Drez. It's why I've PM'd the last couple of stragglers. If they respond soon hopefully I'll be able to enSantee everyone on Monday or Tuesday.
Video games: Puzzle games (like Closure), exploration/building games (like Minecraft and Terraria), tower defense games (like Plants vs Zombies), Borderlands expansions, Diablolikes (like Torchlight), Rougelikes (like Stone Soup or Brogue). My Steam handle is yzzzie.
Books/Comics about/by: Gamma World; Zombies (I've already got all of Max Brook's books); Heian era Japan; Terry Pratchett; Neil Gaiman; John Scalzi; Jim Butcher; Nancy A. Collins.
Crochet and knitting books - either specific patterns or encyclopedias/histories. Afghan or sock pattern books are good.
Food books - cook books, encyclopedias/histories. Especially about the food of your local area. (unless it's Ireland, I've got a huge pile of books about Irish cooking already, sorry.)
I wouldn't have a problem with that. 2 weeks is an awfully long time to be away in consideration of the fact that he/she signed up for a time sensitive event.

So to play Devil's Advocate here, @hotandnerdy hasn't logged into the forums since the 4th.
....and didn't read the instructions well enough to sign up properly.
Those combined with slight and spotty tenure here would lead me to suggest we move forward without them.
Bah! Humbug! Bah!
As much as I hate to see someone left out I have to say that they have had quite a bit of time to provide their info, and the fact they haven't been on does stir a bit of concern in me. That and given the timing I have to agree since a lot of folks will be able to take advantage of coming sales, etc. once they have their Santees.
After consulting with the Moderators, it is with regret that I am officially kicking Hotandnerdy off the list. If they read this, I'm sorry it happened this way.
Now I have another request: After tabulating all the names, locations and preferences, I come up with 11 non-US Santas and 7 US Santas who are willing to ship abroad. My Laplandic Icesheet Supercooled Computer is unable to compute a pairing for everyone with these numbers, so I must ask the US Santas to look again at whether they can ship abroad and PM me about it.

I should make a post of things I like so as not to get things I do not like which would be very not very good.
Clothes probably bad, unless we're talking general things, like hoodies. I don't really wear hoodies though. I don't wear hats. I'm a 6'4" guy with "somethin' extra" in the middle. So let's be real, clothes are probably a bad idea.
I'm just not watching Doctor Who, that's nice.
I love board games but am severely lacking in them. I've got DnD4e starter books(DM guide, monster manual, player handbook) but that's it. Battlestar galactica boardgame, arkham horror and munchkin. And that's it.
I love video games, but they can be pricey. (Although used things are cool. Trust me, I don't give a hoot.) RPGs, strategy, adventure, etc. Not so much the shooters, except maybe halo because it's simple fun. I haven't bought a game in like a year? I own 1 ps3 game (demon's souls). And only like four DS games. (Shiren, Ocarina of Time, Pokemon pearl, and a dragonquest game)
Desk things posters, decorum. Those are good.
I'm a dabbling film buff. Last year got a couple sweet Secretary and Apocalypse Now posters which are still on my walls. I've seen a lot
But I own little. So that's an idea, but not necessary.
Books are good. I've got a few fantasy books, but mostly new ones. I'm very much lacking (which is to say almost completely lacking) in older fantasy/sci-fi. Also, nothing by Joe Abercrombie, which I've wanted to check out. Thing about books, though, is that libraries are free. So there's no need to buy me books. Except for who doesn't like to own books? Just an idea. I'm hard to shop for because it's like, "Well that'd be cool, but I don't really need it..."
Music. I like Shins, Passion Pit, Built to Spill, Aesop Rock, Justice, St Vincent, Young the Giant, Awolnation, etc etc etc. Modest Mouse, "chill-hop" (Massive Attack, Portishead), Mogwai and etc, Red Sparrowes, etc.
A lot of music. But there's always more out there. A mix CD would be a welcome treat, even if there was only one new thing on there. I just discovered these guys
And they're amazing. So there's always something new.
Uh, I don't know. That's all I got.
Don't forgo the personal touch. Something you made, something from your area. I love the people and community here. It's not about getting free shit all the time. It's about having something I can every so often look at and think, "Oh, look at that cool thing. "Your_Name_Here" got me that for Secret Santa 2012..."

So, a list! and by list i mean THESE ARE IDEAS NOT A WISH LIST, WHATEVER YOU GET ME WILL BE AWESOME BECAUSE YOU, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE ON HERE, ARE AWESOME
I can't receive any nsfw or alcoholic things. Other than that you can totally go crazy. I like being surprised, I like foods and treats. I've had the 3 best Secret Santa's the past three years thanks to @ProjectMayhem@Haphazard and Mom2Kat; so, whoever you are I'm sure you'll be great too
Things I like
TV shows: i have a few, but i always welcome more, ( i currently own all of community, psych, arrested development, The IT Crowd (thanks to haphazard), and random seasons like season 5 of Its Always Sunny, Season 1 of 30 Rock and Season 2 of Parks and Rec."
I also like movies..it would be long and tedious if I told you every movie I own, but the movies i have bought in the last couple years have been Avengers, Dark Knight, Inglorious Basterds, Scott Pilgrim, Inception, Star Trek, and The Prestige
Right now I have a ps3, and own Borderlands, Assasins Creeds 2 and 3, Mass Effect 3, and the Uncharted Games (again thank you Haphazard)
(Note, the reason I list these games, movies and tv shows isn't to say "I WANT YOU TO BUY THESE THINGS" Because no matter what you get me i will be super grateful, i just understand how hard it is to shop for someone, especially someone you dont know, and tv shows and movies are a great way to get an item you know they will enjoy, this way you have an idea of what i like and what i have already, but please don't read into this as me saying I WANT YOU TO BUY ME MOVIEZ and GAMEZ PLZ, because thats not what it is, if you would like to, thats awesome, but really, no matter what you get it will be awesome.)
Books! i love books, and there are books that i have wanted to read and haven't had a chance to yet, like game of thrones and such. The only books i own are history books because i am going to teach that, I also have the first volume of the walking dead because Project Mayhem is an awesome dude.
NOTE: The only thing I'm not really into is anime and japanese stuff. It's just not really my cup of tea, if you are into it AWESOME! and if you like it so much that you want to share it with me, thats also awesome! I will be happy with whatever I get, but just like I don't like country music because its not to my taste, as far as I know, anime isn't quite to my taste either.
Other Stuff!
I know since were on a video game forum that media is an easy way to connect and buy games, but really, whatever you get me will be super awesome. i like being surprised and creativity is super cool.
IDEAS! I go on lots of dates with girls, so gift cards to restaurants that are in Utah are a great way to help me out.
Sports stuff! I love Seattle Teams, especially the Seahawks, but really all of them. I'm inbetween a Medium and Large as far as tshirts goes (which is like super annoying btw, i should start working out more)
Headphones! Shoes, especially of the vans variety and in the size of 10.5, umm, music things! Candy! Non-Perishables!
SUPER SUPER AWESOME IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS TO PRODUCE THIS WOULD BE COOL, BUT IF YOU DONT HAVE THE MEANS DONT WORRY BECAUSE I DONT EXPECT ANYONE TO SPEND INSANE AMOUNTS OF MONEY ON ME
if you are like a millionaire and are capable of spending this kind of money on a stranger, I really want to start snowboarding this season. I'm in the process of acquiring a snowboard and boots, other gear and a ski pass to awesome ski places in the salt lake/provo area of Utah such as Sundance. Any way of helping me acquire these items, through gift cards or something would be amazing if AND ONLY IF this is something that is comfortably within your means, then it would be awesome. But if it is not in your means, and I understand because getting something like this for someone on here is not really within my means. I would if I could and I assume everyone on here feels the same way.SO IF YOU CANT AFFORD THESE KIND OF THINGS THEN I DONT WANT YOU TO PUT YOURSELF IN A FINANCIAL SITUATION THAT IS DIFFICULT FOR YOU.
So, I guess to expand on what I posted earlier in the thread as to wants:
Stuff that is tricky or hard to get in Japan could be neat. Could be anything from non-perishable food that is hard to find in Japan or say, an iTunes giftcard for the US store.
To alleviate shipping issues if you are someone who gets me that is overseas I have a steam account: http://steamcommunity.com/id/piousflea When I get home from work today I will try to update the wishlist to be a more accurate reflection of games I want (and that the laptop I brought with me to Japan can actually run). But yeah, digital stuff is fine and a fantastic way to avoid overseas shipping burdens.
Uh, stickers, actually, would be amazing. I teach English in Japan and my students love stickers. Stickers from the States or from outside of Japan is like solid gold to them. Stuff that is specific to your area could be really neat too. I give out stickers four or five times a day so possibly go for quantity over quality on them, but still, that would be wonderful.
Stuff related to learning Japanese could be really interesting too. Kanji is something I really need to knuckledown and learn soon.
I guess I should say things I do not want to.
I do not want anything that would just sit on the shelf and collect dust. So, no models, or statues, or stuff like that. Though, stuff that goes on the wall, like posters, could be really nice. My place is a little barren decoration wise.
So... yeah. I dunno, I like a lot of stuff! And I don't want to be tooooo specific because I like surprises.
