So i came home to Olympia for the holidays and went to this snowboard shop i haven't been to in about 5 years. Found out this really popular local amateur skateboarder had just been killed a couple weeks ago, really sucks, he was an awesome guy. One time when I was in high school i was at the skatepark and broke my board. Dude just went to his car and pulled out a new deck for me out of his trunk, without missing a beat. Seriously, such a great guy.

@Slider did you know Casey Heath?

Hire car place says 1230 for a car (it now being 9 in the morning, when I should have been picking it up).

Yesterday I briefly but seriously considered calling some of the used car places around here and dropping a couple of hundred quid on a trade-in. Mostly inspired by pistonheads shed of the week:

A Tarantino is 4 Roths; there are ten Tarantinos to the Bruckheimer.

Apparently when their website says there are "cars available" this is not to be taken literally. There's something in the small print about how the booking isn't final until the branch providing the car contacts you.

I'll probably still complain to their head office, on the basis that they didn't contact me to tell me there was no car available at the allotted time until it was too late for me to make alternative arrangements - in fact, when I tried another rental place they specifically told me, unprompted, that I could have had a morning pick up had I called them earlier in the day, i.e. about the time I booked with this place because their website was saying cars available for morning pick up.

Man DUE I'm sorry. It's cold comfort, I know, but it'll get easier.

Now I feel like a whiny child for moaning about this rental car.

Well tomorrow is Saturday so I hould head up to the bar as soon as I get up, text all of my friends and hope for the best :)

I'll try to sleep for now. I had loads of fun in this thread. See you soon, everyone :)

apart from possibly a car that you drive yourself and boats it is a superior way to travel.

Leg space. Freedom of movement. Restaurant car what has coffee. Also usually seat groups of four with a table inbetween

Oh man our boss bought us 2 tins of these Cadbury chocolate covered cookies. Problem is some one put them an alcove which has a computer also in it and right above it is the security camera DVR which has its back against the adjacent wall venting hot air above and below it into the alcove

These tins are just a soupy mess of chocolate.

Seriously the funniest thing Neville's done recently involved a rash of theft

    Catnip theft, but theft nonetheless

I found him at 3am on the couch, his head covered in nip and eyes incredibly large

I found out the next morning when I came out that he'd managed to spread it all over the new place
