Yesterday I briefly but seriously considered calling some of the used car places around here and dropping a couple of hundred quid on a trade-in. Mostly inspired by pistonheads shed of the week:

A Tarantino is 4 Roths; there are ten Tarantinos to the Bruckheimer.
Are you getting some kind of dispensation for them utterly missing the agreed window?
i deleted her number from my phone
now i just gotta delete the part where she is one of the best humans i have ever met and stuck through me through the worst parts of my life and i treated her like shit despite that and i deserve this.
Apparently when their website says there are "cars available" this is not to be taken literally. There's something in the small print about how the booking isn't final until the branch providing the car contacts you.
I'll probably still complain to their head office, on the basis that they didn't contact me to tell me there was no car available at the allotted time until it was too late for me to make alternative arrangements - in fact, when I tried another rental place they specifically told me, unprompted, that I could have had a morning pick up had I called them earlier in the day, i.e. about the time I booked with this place because their website was saying cars available for morning pick up.
*hug*
Man DUE I'm sorry. It's cold comfort, I know, but it'll get easier.
Now I feel like a whiny child for moaning about this rental car.

Honestly I think I'd just love an excuse to travel by train, I really enjoyed that part of visiting Cass when she lived in Brampton
That kitten gets up to so much trouble
apart from possibly a car that you drive yourself and boats it is a superior way to travel.
Leg space. Freedom of movement. Restaurant car what has coffee. Also usually seat groups of four with a table inbetween

You know I've never actually travelled in a train like that, only a commuter train
It's like, a step above a subway
I mean, a rather large step, but I don't know of anything I'd consider inbetween

Catnip theft, but theft nonetheless
I found him at 3am on the couch, his head covered in nip and eyes incredibly large
I found out the next morning when I came out that he'd managed to spread it all over the new place
