Wow, this is actually quite interesting. Apparantly DC is launching two political books called "the movement" by Gail Simone and a relaunch of "the green team" by Art Baltazar and Franco.
I have to give DC credit for actually going through with this but I'm nervous about the creative teams. To put it bluntly neither are what a I would call subtle or mature (for lack of a better word) in terms of story telling. I'm not saying that as a bad thing, in fact based on the book it can be a great thing but these books have got to be completely off the wall insane in terms of tone or I could imagine this being painfully obnoxious.

We are faceless. We are limitless. We see all. And we do not forgive.
Who defends the powerless against the GREEDY and the CORRUPT? Who protects the homeless and poverty-stricken from those who would PREY upon them in the DARK OF NIGHT?
When those who are sworn to protect us abuse their power, when toxic government calls down super-human lackeys to force order upon the populace…finally, there is a force, a citizen’s army, to push order BACK. Let those who abuse the system know this as well: We have our OWN super humans now. They are not afraid of your badges or Leagues. And they will not be SILENCED.
We are your neighbors. We are your co-workers. And we are your children.
Okay, I've just looked through a few forums and news sights, and I've actually had to get a pen and paper to keep track of all these new writers, books, and cancellations. Alright:
Creative changes:
Suicide Squad- Ales Kot
Batwing-palmiotti and Gray
Superboy- Justin Jordan
Supergirl- Michael Alan Nelson
Vibe- Sterling Gates
New books:
Green Team- Balthazar and Franco
Movement- Gail Simone
Man of Steel- Scott Snyder
TBDx2- Joshua fialkov
Cancellations:
I,vampire
Dc presents
team 7
sword and sorcery
deathstroke
hawkman
ravagers
firestorm
While this is still complete chaos, it actually seems like GOOD chaos. Most of the cancelled books were crap, the next wave is sounding promising, and all of these creative changes look like massive improvements. Like, I'm probably going to try all of the books I just listed out. Along with the new digital superman, it looks like by May I'll have well over ten books added to my pull list.
So uh. The movement and green team are the same people.
Thats apparent to everyone right?
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

Okay, I probably still won't get it due to general DC related policies and limited funds, but Green Team?
That seems to have a decent chance of being, well, kinda good. Artist did solid work with the late lamented Marvel Adventures line, writing team has a history of all ages clever, and the premise has a lot of room for fun adventure as long as they manage to avoid Richie Rich syndrome.
It's as promising as you can get given the horrible words "Green Team Reboot". So, you know, kudos.
That said, I give it six months at the outside. Poor attempts at cultural relevence, hostile environment for non-big name characters, DC's... interesting history with everything of late, the only difficulty will be nailing down the CoD when the dust settles with so many good candidates.

Having a series that can delve too much into the internal workings of a medium that requires a lot of suspension of disbelief can be troublesome.
The premise of this reminds me a bit of the Star Trek Voyager episode "Death Wish" where they dealt with the issue of the individual vs. the state within the Q Continuum. It certainly makes sense to root for individual rights but when you consider how every Q has the power to basically make entire galaxies disappear with the snap of a finger, then perhaps strong governmental control/oversight might not be a bad thing.

Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray are taking over Batwing
so now he's (even more) Batman's Steel.
I was digging Batwing for a while but got bored somewhere along the past 2 or 3 issues. I'd like a book about Nightrunner, or for them to turn Batman Incorporated into an anthology book about the different "Batmen" once Morrison's story is done.
I don't care about Power Girl so the costumes thing doesn't matter to me, but I am annoyed to see DC backpedaling to reuse things from the old universe. If this is the new 52, keep moving forward and never look back. Sure, her original new 52 costume may have been terrible, but design a new better one not go back to the classic.

EVERYBODY WANTS TO SIT IN THE BIG CHAIR, MEG!
The Movement sounds terrible
but since the last time DC did political shit we got:
I remain incredibly skeptical
The Green Team are trillionaires now, it seems.
Well, that's 30 years of increased economic inequality for you.

Why I fear the ocean.
I stopped reading halfway into Rotworld because it just wasn't clicking. How bad was it really?
What.

Batwing is fighting Ultron?
Gail Simone interview about The Movement here.
I hope this doesn't tie it too closely to Wonder Woman?
Great cover though.
Unless Simone pulls a Titans East and they all die in the first issue....

God dammit
also Roquefort has been doing the art
and that art
it is the sexy
Really
That doesn't mean he should be writing the new gods. Azz has given them a strong start and the last thing they need is someone else mucking them up.
